Tim, have a couple of nights at the Rock Hotel... a throwback (in a good way) to how it was and still should be in the world of hospitality. It aint perfect, but John Lennon got married there and you might just get the Apes gracing you with their company on the glorious outdoor terrace whilst you reflect and look out to Africa across the strait.

We were in Gib just before you, at the end of April. Stayed in the Holiday Inn Express, but had a meal on the Sunborn. Loved it so much, we're going back with our friends at the end of May & actually staying on the Sunborn this time

Finally a hotel that I've stayed in. My room had a black marble bathroom but no seperate toilet but it had a bidet and bottom sprayer. And you could see through to it from the wardrobe too. We had Molton brown stuff. No seating area but the the view from our balcony was even better. Also loved breakfast.

I think the Sunborn 5* Hotel is nicer than the Dubai 7* Hotel you stayed in. The food looked amazing! I don't like large platefuls of food so that tasting menu would suit me down to the ground. Definitely worth saving my pennies for a holiday there.

7 nights from sept 1st to sept 8th is just under 3100 for the rock suite. Probably more expensive during high season. Breakfast is included in that price but other meals are not

Wow Floating Hotel, Floating Palace! Your room was like a 7 star hotel! The mini fridge was the highlight so many drinks & the complementary Twix! The Open Plan layout of Lounge & Bedroom or partitioned Bedroom to your personal choice. The Bathroom is probably one of the most Luxurious Bathrooms I have ever seen! And same can be said of the Balcony it's absolutely massive & the views out on your personal space at the stern of the ship really is amazing! I could honestly live on that Floating Palace. Sipping & Sunbathing all day. And playing the Casino at night! The Casino looked remarkably classy 👌 no words for it really too stunning!!! Restaurants classy. The whole ship is a class act! I'm looking forward to your vlogs on a cruise ship. Cruises are something magical I reckon! Aww look at the pool & the view from the pool & the Aqua Bar😜 Coconut & Mango Smoothie would do me! Casper looks a mirror image of you in his red T shirt! The evening food at £36.50 for anything really is great value I thought it would of been far more expensive than that! The Cocktail you ordered Tim I've never seen anything like it before!! I'd like mini versions to try all those different meals 👌 Absolutely dream experience absolutely everything you could ever wish for!

Another amazing post! The bar with the blue superman lights and other lights is beautiful and it's great to see how you appreciated all those small very sparkly gold tiles in the bathroom - really nice! You should do some posts on cruise ships and river-type excursions! And the mountain view in the morning looked neat with the clouds on the mountain. Hi Tim, brilliant video as always! One question I have is: Is it genuinely a floating hotel? Can you actually feel the waves rock the yacht or is it more a fixed structure designed to look like a yacht but constructed in the water?

It is floating but you really don't feel any movement as its in the marina. It wouldn't surprise me if it is hooked up or grounded so it doesnt move in case of storms. There's a lot of walkways connected to it as well as infrastructure, so it really can't move But it is a real yacht and it was all fitted out in queensway gibraltar and then was towed into position in Ocean village. There should be some footage of that somewhere.

Another great video Tim, we love Gibraltar and would love to go again. We went to a friends wedding there back in 2016, stayed in the Caleta which I believe has now shut down and our friends got married on the beautiful Sunborn.

the little whirly thing in the buffet is to repel bugs. first met one in a wine bar in california. They had some wonderful and unique fruit on offer the toilets on ships are different from land , they operate more like airplane units . You could go down a rabbit hole by taking a short vacation cruise. The average stateroom is half the size you had and not quite as posh.
