thanks for your review. planning for our trip this April for my kids spring break. kinda hard to find a reasonable priced hotel for 2 adults / 1 child. and reached out to the hotel, they offered the Hideaway Clubhouse but it has obstructed view due to the construction. now debated if i should book or look again. thanks

Jess I am watching from Arizona and so grateful for this video while I write my hospital clinical notes. I'd love one of your plans for a visit to London/England. England is my favorite place and London is my favorite city. I recently attended Oxford for summer school and I am 55. Someday soon I am coming back to walk in Hampstead Heath everyday of the week!!

I used to live in Tucson Arizona. I pretty much know all of the state quite well. Nevertheless.... the heat just got to me so I'm in Central Europe now. London is fantastic. I did some contract work there for a while. The customer (UK telco) wanted me to stay longer, but I'm a skier and there's not much skiing happening over the winter in the UK..... so I returned to Central Europe. I love it here and don't plan on leaving. So.... give my regards to Phoenix (Tempe, Scottdale etc) and Tucson. Ciao, Tomas

Very interesting concept they have there. I’m used to getting like 3 drinks for £15, so that would have shocked me a bit to be honest. The view in the reading book really sells that’s for me. I’m an artist so I’d love to work right there.

Yeah you definitely pay for the view! And yes I loved that nook as well. Was a nice added touch and added to the "treehouse" feel. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

Great video Jess. I see the border is open now for travel and no quarantine if your vaccinated. I hope this is still true. If so you have me pumped to reschedule my trip back. If you have any info on that please share. Great work

Hey Barry, thanks so much for watching! They've always been open for some countries. If you are from the EU or US, if you have an approved vaccine, you can come without quarantine, and same deal for any countries on the "green list". Check gov.uk for full, up to date details.

Jess, I need a shower-specific review! Was it perfect? If deployments have taught me anything, it's that a good shower (hell, even just a warm shower) is the dividing line between civilized and uncivilized living.

To be honest, I'd rather stay in a decent hotel in Reading at half the price and catch the train to London (whether for pleasure or work). Reading to Paddington is 30 minutes by train and there is a direct bus from the Reading train station to Heathrow (Railair).... If you fly into Heathrow you don't have the hassle of taxis and a crowded city to have to move around in with luggage. Just catch the bus to Reading. There are a few hotels in Reading close to the train station where the Railair bus ends.
@loveandlondon3 жыл бұрын
You do you! But you also have to factor in train cost and time to get places from Paddington. Plus you don't get the buzz of London at night !
@tomasbud77463 жыл бұрын
@@loveandlondon It all depends on why one visits London. I did contract work for telcos in the London area for over two years.... so I've gotten much of the London night life out of my system. If I go to London now it wouldn't be for work purposes but rather for culture (galeries, museums, history etc.) and a bit of shopping. The National Gallery on Trafalgar Square has a fantastic collection of Impressionist artwork (even a few Van Goghs). It's been a while since the last time I was there, so for my next trip I'll definitely visit the National Gallery. It's also been a while since the last time I got out to visit the Sunday church service at Hampton Court (in the Royal Chapel). There is a children's choir that sings throughout the service.... it is fantastic. The service is awe inspiring.... a historic chapel with choir. I would recommend visiting it on a Sunday. So.... for my needs Reading suffices.

Views are good but the overall feel of the room not so much and with our currency that is 18000 pesos ish for a 200pounds+ per night which is on 4.4 ish star range but with a 3.5 star design of a room. This is their standard room if i got that right? Quite expensive? Not too impressed. I think that they showcase the bar more than the rooms. Great video though!

Nice hotel, but probably with someone visiting London, they're more interested in having a place to stay at in-between doing things, than hanging out at the hotel all day. At least that's me. I'm OK with a place as long it's not a crack house. Actually, my standards aren't that low, but you get what mean. ;)
