The thing I love about superstitious people is, a lot of the things they say are a ghost, if those same things happened somewhere that wasn't "haunted," they wouldn't even notice. Wind happens due to temperature and pressure differences in different areas. I've never been to Japan, but considering it's a series of relatively small islands with lots of change elevation, I'm sure sudden gusts of wind are pretty common... That being said wind exists everywhere. To blame this particular gust on a ghost is *really* stretching an already frankly goofy belief even further.

The feeling of pressure or weight on your chest as well as ringing in the ears are all symptoms of sleep paralysis, like textbook. @@ItachiKai I've done a lot of reading on this because I learned about it from a buddy and thought it was genuinely interesting. AFAIK where you are sleeping has nothing to do with it. It could happen whenever/wherever. That being said, as someone else previously mentioned, it IS more likely to happen to someone who goes to sleep stressed/anxious. Personally if I believed in ghosts, I would find sleeping in a supposedly haunted house terrifying!

I agree, episodes with Sharla are so calming and chill! This one was such a nice change of pace. Really enjoying the series and personally love the episodes coming out a bit slower. It means we get such brilliantly put together videos that are rich with entertainment. Can’t wait for more! Also side note: anyone interested in ghosts or the paranormal, there’s a fantastic podcast called Uncanny by Danny Robins, it’s on BBC sounds or where ever you listen. It’s for believers and sceptics, each real life case from everyday people it’s researched from both of these stand points with experts. It’s fascinating and so well made. If you didn’t believe (like myself) it might just change your mind perhaps to just the “not sure” camp. I don’t like true crime podcasts either so this is different to those! Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

The person sitting on your chest thing, that's a common experience with people who experience sleep paralysis Probably because your body becomes paralyzed when you sleep so you dont act out your dreams and injure yourself, and some people's minds wake up before their bodies and they cant move, and they're still sorta dreaming, so they attribute their inability to move to something sitting on them, and often will actually see something in the room due to the dreaming part still being active It's more common in children, they're also called night terrors

Wow 10 episodes in 19 days… you really did it❤ - and a couple of amazing episodes they were…. And we still didn’t see Joey or Pete and there is another Sharla episode in the works… so feels like we will see more episodes until way past Christmas 😮😮, which is the best possible Christmas present! Also the third Connor episode was 8days in production prior to release, so you probably already filmed another 8 days of content since. I hope you don’t have to postpone any Christmas plans. Thanx for producing this amazing content

"Ears ringing at night" and the sense of someone sitting on you is classic sleep paralysis (I've had it regularly since I was a kid).

Yeah it's weird to see the shrine NOT covered in birds and poop. They have free umbrellas to rent...and it's not for any rain. I'm glad you're in Aomori because I live here and would like to know more about places to visit before I try to move somewhere else. Also, ask Sharla about Shizukuishi Soul Kitchen and some of the best pizza in Tohoku. If you go get the Greg Mix (it may be named after me because it's my favorite mix of ingredients when I go there lol)

Kabushima shrine in Aomori ken was one of my best stops in my Tohoku trip during golden week this year. it had thousands of sea gulls but I guess they are gone southwards for the winter ? People had to carry an umbrella to protect themselves from the seagulls and their droppings! interestingly Kabushima shrine is also my profile picture in this account and have a video of those sea gulls on this channel 😄

As much as I always love watching ghosthunting videos, I always get really annoyed when people are super convinced of evidence like "I was lying in bed but unable to move", "I woke up and saw something standing over me", or "I felt the pressure of something sitting on my chest while lying in bed". Like, congratulations!! You have just described the symptoms of sleep paralysis!!! Like I understand it must be super scary in the moment, but our own brains are not as trustworthy as we would like to think.

Once I was my sister’s sleep paralysis demon! She said she saw me standing above her holding a x-box. We didn’t have a x-box. also I supposedly walked into the room twice each time just disappearing walking in without walking out.

If you said that the one time you get sleep paralysis in your life its in a "haunted" place that it wouldn't freak you out at least a little I would not believe you.
