It was wonderful to be together again. There’s nothing better than a bunch of folks howling at the moon together. :-)

There is something uniquely wonderful about the ukulele musical instrument that spreads love and kindness. I wish I'd known when I wore younger shoes.

My first in-person meeting gave me a chance to dust off my 34 1/2-year-old T-shirt from "The Joshua Tree" tour date at the Erwin Center. Thanks, Bob! (Now if we could just have a live strum cam...)

Greetings from Germany 😊 Can I ask you a question? I‘m with a small group (about 10) and we try to establish a routine. Do you only work on one song in your meetings? In Lockdown we amassed roughly 100 songs we want to try. Currently we play through this mass to decide if we like the songs and which additional information we need to sound not to bad. Furthermore we want to put together a repertoire for the microscopic chance to perform for an audience. Maybe this summer, a little bonfire sing-along with family and friends. Why oh why are you so far away …
@BobGuz2 жыл бұрын
Hello Chris! Thank you so much for your kind comment! In answer to your question, yes, we focus on one song in each meeting. We study the chords, the chord progressions, strum patterns, picking parts, and even the vocals -- then we record what we've learned at the end of the meeting. We also have a smaller group that performs at nursing homes, libraries, festivals, etc. This group has a large collection of songs and we go through as many as possible when we meet. Wishing you the best!

What is Csus4?
@BobGuz2 жыл бұрын
Hi Gina! It's a C chord with the addition of an F note. Play a C chord by placing your ring finger (or middle, if you prefer) on the third fret of the A string. Then put your index finger on the first fret of the E string. The result is a "C major suspended 4" chord or "Csus4". I hope that helps!!
