Fun fact. I ordered a prebuilt in 2021 to get hold of a 3080 at normal pricing. The card was due to be an XC3 card. But when it arrived I had a FTW card which was £100 more without scalping pricing back then. Even on the receipt it said XC3 so I wondered about the warranty incase I had any issues. Sending back a FTW card when I was supposed to receive an XC3 I was worried Scan would say the card isn't the one we supplied. So I contacted Scan and they said it was fine. They said consider it a free upgrade from EVGA because they have no XC3 cards to ship and wanted to complete orders so warranty still stands with Scan and EVGA even though I paid for the lesser model. Just shows how EVGA's customer satisfaction went above and beyond. Thank you EVGA. You'll never be forgotten.

This brought a tear to my eye. I've had components from many manufacturers. Gigabyte, Zotac, Asus, G.Skill, Corsair. You name it, I've probably had at least one. All of them have have had problems on every component I've bought. Except EVGA. The quality of their products has never once failed me. To put it into perspective, one of my Gigabyte 980Ti's blew a resistor trying to load the WoW login screen and nearly totalled my entire machine. My Gigabyte 3070 didn't last 2 years. My old EVGA 770, however, still functions fine even if it can't handle the most modern games anymore. Recently, a friend of mine was selling off his EVGA 3090. I didn't even care that it wasn't a 3090Ti, I snapped that thing up fast as I'll never see another EVGA card beyond that now. And I'm so sad about that and I have no idea what I'll buy going forward. I'd love to see EVGA look to Intel and see if they can cut a favourable deal in helping them develop their GPU line. Their ability to innovate might increase the pace of development on those cards and catch them up to their competition. If Nvidia does leave the gamer market we will need someone reliable to pick up the slack. Also if they could make motherboards again so I'm not stuck with terrible quality Asus boards or an Asrock board that looks like it's been puked on that would be phenomenal.

Not all of their cards were great, but I firmly believe that they were the best of all of the large videocard manufacturers, unless you count Sapphire, but Sapphire was, and probably still is, much smaller than EVGA ever was. I remember hearing that some of EVGA's GTX 1000 series cards had issues. I have heard multiple times that some (not all) of their GTX 1060 models had poor memory cooling. I would say that Sapphire is the best well known videocard brand now, but as they are getting bigger, they will be more prone to making some weak products. We should never blindly trust any brand, no matter how good their track record is. It's too bad that they still only make AMD cards, but I think they get some degree of preferential treatment, along with the other AMD only manufacturers like Powercolor and XFX, for staying as an exclusive manufacturing partner. Sapphire seems to have become the most prolific AMD card manufacturer, as they seem to be the only brand making reference cards for some of AMD's current 7000 series GPUs, and some of those reference models seem pretty basic, though I have yet to actually see any detailed reviews or teardowns of those cards, or of any current gen Sapphire cards except for the Nitro+ models.

Previously I had a pair of gtx1080 FTW2 (I know, I know but it actually made demanding games like GTA V run much smoother) in my PC and they were awesome. People who were into PCs at that time may remember that the early FTW2 cards had a thermal pad issue which caused some melted components, EVGA allowed you to make the repair yourself with a kit that you could request from them for free and it didn’t affect your warranty. I can’t think of another tech company that has done something similar. When I finally upgraded my PC once GPU prices came back down to a reasonable level I couldn’t justify to myself the significant price difference between an EVGA 3000 series card and ones from other brands. I will miss EVGA for sure! They had the best products, had the best following and had the best customer service! I remember being up late night and trying to build my PCs and Ethernet i had issues they helped me every time. They didn't leave me until i actually was up and running.

As a former owner of a EVGA GPU I never got any problem with it. I also mined in the peak of ETH mining and got some money when not gaming. Never had to change even the termal paste because it never thermal throttled. It was incredible.

I ordered an EVGA card on Amazon that was supposed to come with a game code once, and Amazon never sent me the code. I reached out to Amazon support and after about an hour of a couple different agents not being helpful, I called EVGA support. They picked up the phone instantly, and told me this is technically an issue that amazon should be dealing with, but within minutes they sent me an email with a code. The rep was great, genuinely the best customer support experience I've ever had.

eVGA runs deep. 8800GTX blew my mind when new and still works today. Tri--SLI GTX480 was gaming heaven and heat hell. Loved P67 with EVgauge and only sold it last year due to no use. X58+GTX480 still used today by Hearthstone nephews. X79+GTX950 still a daily driver for family. GTX680 gets a weekly workout by Roblox friends. X99+GTX1050 still impresses with daily secondary gamer duties. z370 fantastic for young content creator. Even used some of these to demo 1080 Crysis and 1080 video via their PCoIP devices a decade ago. Cases, keyboards and mice too. Much love for eVGA and for the video too.

@@MrMCDiggles let me rephrase! I would like to see a collab like they did recently with PCMR where it's LTT quality and design but basically PCMR merch. Picture the PCMR Hoodie with maybe EVGA green instead of yellow and an embroidered EVGA logo, then a huge K|NGP|N in gold blazed down the left arm. I would buy this. With Jay's relationship it would be cool for him to make a shirt that is more EVGA/J2C. Different type of thing. :)

Loved them so much, still have an EVGA 560Ti, 2x EVGA 970 SSC, one RTX 3070, Z97 classified motherboard, DG7 case and a power supply from them. Only things still rocking are their power supply and the case. I was so mad that they where forced to quit the GPU marked that I switched to an all AMD rig after 15 years, 7800X3D and a 7900XT, if EVGA would start partnering with AMD I would buy their stuff without hesitation. All the best to this great company, loved your products, served me well and never failed to this day !

One of EVGA's best attributes is their customer loyalty. It's very rare to find people publicly bad-mouthing that company. I sold a PC to a co-worker that had an EVGA 3060 in it (which I actually got through the 3000 series queue). I told him to never get rid of that card, and if he wanted to, I'd buy it back from him.

21:15 The way Linus said "EVGA didn't like that the chip manufacturer raised prices of graphics cards", SAY IT, say NVIDIA, say it that Nvidia went greedy, don't sugarcoat it so your sponsor doesn't get offended, call it out like it is, you call yourself a tech journalist then act like one, this is disrespectful to EVGA and to us consumers for which EVGA stood up for.

Always had an EVGA board even when the latest daily driver boards (not DARK) were missing features, ports, premium audio, bios updates and such compared to other manufacturers while still keeping the EVGA price tag. The support was just really good, BIOS nice and boards looked industrial not clowney. Currently rocking X570 FTW and when I retire AM4 I would probably go Asrock.

Their Step Up Program was the best thing period. I upgraded from a 970 to a 2070 near the release of the the 3080 and signed up for Step Up a few months after the 3080 was released (Applied in November after buying the 2070s in September). It was a 10 month wait, but it was well worth it as others were still having issues getting 3080s at the time. Still running it to this day.

EVGA the one company I had nothing but excellent interactions with. They were around in the Battlefield Scene when we all went nuts over the lack of 3rd party servers (they stuck with the gamers) but also their warranty program, step-up (used it 2 times) and queue system. They made it possible for me to change my burned out (by BF3 at the time) 780's I had gotten through step-up and replaced them with 2 980Ti's (yeah that was a heck of an upgrade). They knew this and added a lovely message with it. The queuing later on allowed me to get an 3080 for €600 (MSRP at the time) and well still got that one. Knowing full well that ever since I actually got it, I wouldn't have been able to buy it for that price anywhere else. Even today, 2nd hand ones are still above this price. EVGA was a gem.

I have a DG-87 and it's an incredible case. Having and HDMI passthrough for VR is wonderful. The case is enormous, plenty of cable management room and I couldn't have been any happier having spent around $200 on it. My only qualm is just how heavy that thing is, but man does it look wonderful. I really wish they'd make a new series of cases. I've been dying to have another one, and ever since I got my 1080 from them and am still using the same power supply I bought almost 9 years ago, I've been a huge fan of EVGA.
