Don't go down the rabbit hole of what people used for blood transfusion in the 1800s. it was either milk or piss. People always claim that in the past giving birth caused the woman to possibly die as well but when you realize they would often shove wild rabbits up the vagina to help push the baby out which might have been a factor to child birth issues. They would grab a random wild creature or object and shove it up to be able to pull it out easier and some times they would use devices that stretched the women open enough to be able to shove their hole arms up which often lead to the massive internal tearing getting infected. They often also would pour boiling water inside to try and clean the area out which often caused 3rd degree burns. I am so glad to live in the modern era where we do stupid stuff but we are learning not do to as stupid as possible stupid stuff.

Fun fact: Vicky's hair used to be blonde, but after the constant sacrificial pyres, the fire has permanently burned her hair to the color of flame.

Theory: There are many stages of Vicky's life. Once she was a woman in the middle ages and the towns people did not accept her. They threatened to burn her so she burnt them. It's a witch! She dies but her soul was split into four: Weeb, Lover, The Ginger and German Witch. They eventually reunited when a young house elf named Bobby pulled them all back into The Ginger, accidentally making her immortal. And as she kept on being reincarnated she eventually made it all the way to Panem where she entered the Hunger Games. And when that body died she was reborn in our world and shows up snippets of her past lives to share all of the trauma she has been through.

I have a headcanon that this series is just an alternate universe where Vicky has been sent back in time to the 1600's where she has to survive the day and everytime she's burned it restarts.
