I STOLE a CRUSADE in CK3

The Crusades were launched in response to the Seljuk Turks' invasion of Byzantine territory. Pope Urban II called for the First Crusade in 1095, aiming to reclaim Jerusalem and other sacred sites from Muslim control. In a miraculous victory, the Frankish princes established the Kingdom of Jerusalem, marking a significant triumph for Christendom. But how do we inspire Catholicism to launch a crusade two hundred years earlier, in the 867 start of Crusader Kings III? How do we establish a Frankish king from our dynasty on the throne of Jerusalem and conquer the entirety of the Holy Land to found a new empire?
I also want to try to conquer the Byzantine Empire, and the Abbasids. I have the major goal of Forming the outremer empire as well.
The Grand Beginning:
In Crusader Kings III, starting in 867 AD offers a unique and challenging experience. The political landscape is fragmented, with various realms vying for power. This period is marked by the struggle between emerging European kingdoms and the established Muslim empires. Our campaign begins amidst this chaos, setting the stage for an ambitious and daring plan: to steal the Crusade from the Pope and conquer the Holy Land.
Crafting Alliances:
Diplomacy is key in this treacherous era. Forming alliances with influential rulers is crucial for survival and expansion. I strategically arranged marriages and alliances to ensure the loyalty of powerful dynasties, setting the foundation for my ambitious conquests. These alliances provided not only military support but also political legitimacy and stability.
Outsmarting the Pope:
The Ultimate Heist: How do we inspire fear in the hearts of Catholicism and force the Pope into launching a crusade against us as pagans? By starting as the Vikings, we can scare the Pope into launching a crusade. Once the crusade is announced, we will convert to Christianity, allowing us to steal and redirect the crusade towards Jerusalem, our actual goal.
Building an Empire:
Once we have redirected the crusade towards Jerusalem, the real challenge begins. Conquering the entirety of the Holy Land requires meticulous planning, strategic conquests, and the establishment of a robust administration. I will guide you through each step, from initial battles to fortifying our holdings against relentless attacks.

So after looking at the code for the seljuks, When 2 rulers die (father -> son). The invasions pretty much come to a stop. The 3rd generation and beyond they become pacified pretty much.

The only time I managed to fk over the Seljuks and Mongols with a little nation with a few soldiers is when I play as the dwarves. Yes you can make Khazad Dum in ck3 😂, what you need is to mix Georgian, Czhech or Slavonia I forgot which but the one with mountain ruralism thing, Kashmiri, and Afghani. So youll got mountain cavalry, mountain infantry, and special pikemans. Plus you can raise development real speed with all the special traditions. Even if 100k troops attacked youll be able to defend with 15-20k troops easily
