Picnic blanket - black rubber backing that's like mini tread-plating, the magnetite blends out as background and noticed little trail of flour gold and shinier and colourful tiny gems. A car parcel shelf, if it had riffles, could use it as a giant pan, or as a sluice sideways, having seen one dumped as garbage on a creek, but all the road gravels had made their way down into the creek too. It used to be the "coach" road until new car roads went in. Onya!

I'm from Golden, Colorado and in the early 70's I used to spend my summer weekends panning in Clear Creel and I used a WOK! I loved having those handles. Panning in summer only I'd get about an ounce and a half of what then was called "gold Dust" in 3 months.

Nice shirt… back in the late 80’s they released a crap ton of Chinese sks rifles complete with bayonet and rear site you could raise with a slide for long range, for $80-100 usd. they would shoot up to 3/4 of a mile (1207 meters) accurately and they were selling the 7.62 full metal jacket with stainless steel punch pin rounds for a penny a piece. Ya the punch pin would go through a 2 foot diameter tree at 300 yards ahh those were the good ol days back to the vid…not bad at all for a garbage can lid definitely looking forward to the final on the 100 bucket challenge thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼

One day a guy and his son walked up the river pretty close to me. I had my sluice and things laying around and he made the comment. You look like u know what your doing. I said it may look that way then gave a chuckle. I noticed as they grew closer it looked like they were panning or something at the edge of the river. Turns out he had a camping cup. You know the metal camping cups that usually accompany a kit of some kind. Turns out he was scooping up stuff and kinda just washing it back in fourth in the bottom of the cup looking for gold. I showed them how best to actually use the cup to the best of its ability. After a few times he was actually getting to just leaving black sand in the cup. So I used a camping cup to pan one day while showing a guy how to pan with it. I also mentioned if he was interested in the "hobby" he should check out your channel and they sell cheap basic pans at the outpost up the street about a mile from where we were. Also mentioned G man's channel and a few other's that I liked while getting started. I warned him about the marketing in the industry also so he wouldn't fall into a rabbit hole as I did. I'll never find enough gold to even pay for the stuff I don't ever use lol. The stuff I actually use is very cheap is pretty much everyone basic kit. I learned the hard way about more expensive equipment doesn't mean more gold. Now I look at it like a collection so I don't feel so duped. Anyways great video! Love you guys have a great day👍👍

Can also use the plastic Sabco bin lids, large plastic drain saucers that come with flowerpots, A frying pan, a wok (you need to degrease them first and give them a good fire lining.) A large round mouthed shovel with the back edges folded. (That one takes more skill than a pan) The big cheap plastic washbowls that hold about 10 litres (be careful not to overload them) for making concentrates. Remember most are only for concentrating and not getting the gold fully separated from the parent materials.

Chris, try something for me? Float your pan (with a bit of water in) right before reveal, and give it a sharp sideways rap a tap while floating, on a rock or root, to move the gold to one side. I just want to know if I stumbled onto a repeatable method....i usually pan in a wheelbarrow or large box and use the pans buoyancy to minimize wrist stress... Let me know, please? Id like

Try a hammered steel Wok. Use one with two handles not a stick handled one. Fill it stratify then swirl allowing the water to remove lighter material repeat filling Wok 10 plus times then transfer black sands to a traditional pan. Similar to the drill in a bucket method.

When I was in my teens, I was a size 7, then in my late twenties went down to a size 6 (even a five.) When I reached started edging towards fifty my feet were going back to a 7 - nothing to do with fallen arches as have had them and flat feet since a toddler. Weight can play a part in some by the way, as well as does a few other health factors including the normal break down of cartilage cushioning between joints wears down or away which affects everyone ( hence also why we lose height over the years.)

@Pax.Alotin yes there is, but glacial flood gold and Arkansas river gold from Colorado. Micro and much harder to find. Now my one small pan I did is no means a way to say there is not. Just a pan from a wrong spot. I do believe that almost every creek and river has some kind of gold in it.

When i was in my twenties my safety boot size at port kembla steelworks was 9 1/2 . Now - in my old age after years of being a hippie and not wearing shoes - my foot size is 12 or 13 depending on whether i wear sox. I doubt my feet have grown that much - i think shoe sizes and all sorts of clothing sizes have shrunk to keep us paranoid about getting fat so they can sell us more dieting products which dont work and make us fatter. Stop worrying about what we look like and enjoy life - age doesnt make us look better but we can enjoy it more if we dont worry!

Your feet don't technically grow as you age, but sometimes your arches can start to flatten which can make your feet longer and wider. Fortunately and unfortunately I was born with completely flat feet and have worn a U.S. size 13 5E since I was 14.
