Highbanking Gold out of he Ultra Rare White Channel Paydirt!
There is a type of clay in my area of Victoria Australia that has always produced the best gold. In fact Ive broken almost all my records every time i find it. So when i found a section in the river i was quick to set up my highbanker and get digging to recover as much gold as possible.

I love how V-matting has come full circle. I bought V-matting to go under my blue rubber miners moss to use with traditional riffle system (like any Keene sluice box comes with). That was about 8-10 years ago. Since then everyone moved to dream mat, VDR and anything but V-matting. I love it. Just goes to show, what's old is new again and it doesn't matter what you use, you'll catch gold. Use what makes you happy.

V matting catches a ton of flour gold when the material is classified to 20 mesh (window screen) or smaller with moderate to light water flow, angle and feed rate. Works well in a cleanup sluice.

That is a golden wombat hole!!! PS. Consider bringing with you three or four astroturf sheets/strips. That way you can roll up the one that is full of material (to clean up later, at home) and then immediately replace it with the next astroturf piece. Repeat

Try connecting a stick,a dop stick I believe, to allow more control when free hand working rocks. If you have a tile saw with a solid diamond blade, with its own water splash, rough grind the facets then move to the rubber embedded wheel to polish.
