I have the same vehicle with 155K miles on it. Once the air suspension lights start coming on (usually around 70K miles due to the compressor or desiccate powder clogging the lines and interfering with solenoids), just swap to coil springs and you'll have a fairly reliable machine.

keep standard wheels and wheel bearing last for ever and to all the R/R/ haters just look after them which most folk do not and they will last as long as any car but you will live in comfort be safe in snow be able to pull what you want and as always feel a million dollars when driving !! What more do you want for around the 4K mark which is what I paid for mine 4 years ago with I hasten to add not problems since purchase happy new year to all

The handbrakes are a common fault because 99% of the time the person setting the drum up doesn't do it right or the arm on the shoe seizes up the issue with the arm is common on all ford drum shoes. If go on Google and search bodseys brake bible and follow that you will never have a issue again if you service the drums every year. If the epb squeels you might get lucky and dismantle both drums and used a diagnostic tool to unlatch/unjam the epb system whilst two people are pulling on the epb cable with pliers to pull the cable back out.

@endocomuk3 жыл бұрын
@@ignitionadvantages6592 Oh well, just watched it. If you set the shoes like you would on a normal car the problem will happen again within a few months. Set them as it says in the guide with the torque wrench and use the epb all the time and it will be spot on.

That park brake motor fails because the handbrake shoes have probably never been adjusted properly mate and the motor overwinds to compensate and shits itself... make sure you adjust them thru the brake disc after you fix the motor.... sometimes and adjustment will fix it provided the motor hadn’t gone too far ... best check the internal shoes for thickness 👍and there is a bed in procedure for them mate that you can activate via the car as it allows you to pull it on while driving and bring car to a stop 6 times if memory serves me 👍hope this helps mate
