It is actually being felt by annual budgets by especially corrupt and criminal departments and they are feeling a lack of resources and requesting larger budgets because the settlement payouts are becoming increasingly larger and still not anything near the payouts in the u.s. for example, like this would be easily over 6 figures in the u.s. in settlement alone, if it went to trial it would be millions which is what would be filed for initially but settle for the 6 figures or slightly below. He is doing the exact right thing by exposing and collecting his compensation payouts.

It is time that all Cops are required to have personnel liability insurance so that if sued it is their premiums that rise and the compensation does not come out of the public purse . May be it needs to be written into their employment contract, proof of insurance before being offered the position. I mean that being before any training can take place. That way insurers can watch over their policy holders and adjust premiums as required. Medical negligence cover. Police negligence cover.
