You have people who have bought peerages deciding for you. When officers approach him expecting him to give up his rights or comply with unlawful orders, then it gets into more of a back and forth.

The building in the video was of particular importance though, you'r dad's car isn't. The car can be replaced, people can't. The police had no idea what this guy was doing, all they knew was he was asking suspiciously around a building of importance & being rude to anyone simply asking what he was doing. You know that in the past someone flew a plane into a IRS office in America because they didn't want to pay their tax right? People are unpredictable & this guy was one of them... As soon as they worked out that all he was doing was looking for reactions, they left him to go & deal with real crime, like your dad's car being broken into. You see, this is what I really struggle with when it comes to the police in this country. We all constantly hear about how the force is crippled by cutbacks, and I have defended them on that basis before. But that argument falls apart when you realise that they can send four cars out in a matter of minutes because a man used a camera. My family once called the police because a drunk person was kicking down our fence in the early hours of the morning. They never arrived. Silly us, we should've said he was filming on public land, they would've been there in a heartbeat.

@@judyjudy1614 Yes, she was called out by the pratt from the offices, yes she was bored out of her tree and responded to the call instead of saying "Are you serious!? There's nothing of use for a terrorist in that building and from what you've described he's not breaking any laws, just leave the man alone." Now, once there, she was able to see that she wasn't needed, she should have said "Have a great day, I'm off to the station as you're breaking no laws, I'll ring the offices and inform them that they've been stupid." Or just do that last bit without saying it out loud, even, but no. Her ego got the better of her and she radioed for back up wasting even more tax payers money. Yet here *you* are bringing the colour of his skin and that he's rightly agitated at her lack of basic communication skills into this when it was clearly the 2 @r$eh@t$ at the beginning and the WPC who were bang out of order, ffs. 🤦🏻♂️ 🤷🏻♂️ 😱

My cousin is a police sargeant and member of the police federation. He admits the “lack of resources/funding” is just an excuse for not being bothered. In reality there are a lot of coppers sitting around in the canteen and police stations just socialising, eating, flirting etc

That was an excellent police response, four cars and multiple officers on the scene within minutes of a call being made. That quality of service inspires confidence in the police, the public can go about their business secure in the knowledge that should they ever find themselves in need of police assistance the response will be swift and substantial. Everyone can sleep easier in their beds knowing they are protected by a fast and efficient police force.

I for the first time in my long life feel frightened of a police force that I'd always respected. How did we get such rude unprofessional and confrontational officers? I don't recognise these people at all. There seems to be in their eyes the look of someone who Owns you, that they are in charge of you, that they are superior to you. Worrying times. There seems to be a total absence of respect for the public. We are not an inferior species to them...

It's a great tactic to ask him to understand that what you are doing is not illegal. He could not comprehend the illogic of his position. Again if there was a threat, would it not have happened by the time the tie comment was unashed. But again they can not think on their feet reevaluate. Fear rules their minds. Its very sad.
