I got a little confused in the listening bit. because you said you never stopped using subtitles in English and then proceeded to say that you would focus more on listening in English and in Japanese you would never stop using the subtitles. would you clarify it ? I have a really hard time watching tv shows and movies without subtitles in English. I can understand probably around 80/90% with subtitles and without my comprehension drops a lot. should I continue using them ?

@@endouerick7519 I clarify it in the reading bit, but at least for me, listening is way harder in a language like English, while in Japanese listening is just way easier (again, for me). So that's why I would maybe have changed my approach to English and maybe have focused more on listening, since reading is way more straightforward in English than Japanese. Hope I clarified it!

@@endouerick7519 I don't have an specific trick for this, since the transition to not using subtitles felt really natural. But what I specifically did was literally treat english like my native language, What would you do if literally english was your native language? At the moment I played videogames and had a lot of bad habits, so I did most of them but in english, I would say that the better one was watching videos in youtube. Since they were gameplays I just cared about the game, and ended up developing a really good listening, so maybe you could go with something similar to my approach!
