Wonder Flowers definitely have a similar feel to secret exits in SMW, but they also provide a ton of exciting & creative platforming segments. Some of the best stuff they've ever done.

I just wish there was a way to turn it off. I've felt that way for pretty much every single Mario game. (3d Mario games just use his voice and that's fine). But for a game where you jump like 30 times per minute it's crazy to have a sound attached to it.

This game doesn't feel real. It runs great, has a lot of clever level designs, is feature complete on the cart, doesn't require updates, and is simply FUN. This shouldn't be allowed to exist by 2023 AAA standards. My two favorite games this year are on the platform I use the least by far. Wild times.

Top to bottom, this is probably the most smartly designed Mario game ever made. From the way its online features encourage cooperation to the way its interface and post-credits goodies respect players' time, this game manages to both honor Mario's traditions and address its shortcomings.

All of your criticisms about the audio is the exact opposite of Digital Foundry said in their video. But I guess that is a good thing to hear multiple opinions by people, and form our own conclusions. Personally, I love the music and sound effects so far.

All the sound stuff in this game sounds kind of awful tbh. Soundtrack is not very good, voices are irritating, SFX sound super weak. Not into it at all.

Best way to play Switch games... buy them, leave them sealed, and emulate them instead. EDIT: Several hours in and I also hate the music due to the 'real' instruments.

Oh yea, we all know that Jeff "Hype Energy" Gerstmann goes full soyjack mode when he likes something. I think he's reserved in this because he hates it but fears the wrath of Nintendo fans so he is force to tow the line, at least until GOTY season.
