I surprised my parents with homemade pizza! Vegan buffalo chicken pizza that is! With a homemade crust and homemade vegan ranch!

-3 cups of flour (whole wheat or white, I've done both with similar results)
-1 cup of warm water
-1 packet of yeast, or 2 and 1/4th teaspoons
-1/8th tsp of salt

You may want to watch something about the science of how yeast works. Why rising times matter. Why covering it while it rises is important. Why not having it too dry matters. And what yeast needs to rise. It is always amazing how much science is involved with baking.,

Once grains are milled, within 1 day they lose 40% of nutrients and within 3 days 90% nutrient loss. Milled flours have almost no nutrients - white or "whole wheat". Real fresh milled whole wheat flour doesn't look or taste anything liked bagged stuff. My favorite vegan pie is a carrot-ginger base, caramelized onions, and walnuts - once cooked is topped with arugula that's tossed with lemon juice, evoo, s&p. It's tasty!! I lean more whole foods plant based and am a chef.
