I'm really excited for Lay of the Land; I even have it on my Steam Wishlist. A couple things I'd like to see in the future: An option that forces you to drop all your items upon death. For as annoying as this can be, it adds some much-needed weight to death, and makes it a legitimate threat, instead of a minor inconvenience. Doors. Having what is essentially a constant hole in your wall makes me feel _really_ uneasy; having a door that I can close would go a long way towards making my home feel more, well, _homely._ More biomes, such as a snow-themed biome or a swamp (The developer's shown off footage of a swamp dotted with mushrooms, so this seems to be something in the pipeline) A hunger system, as it would give the food a reason to exist besides healing you; not only that, it would bring it closer to being a survival game. Edit: Farming. Being able to not only grow your own crops, but also grow your own little forest or mushroom cluster, that sort of thing.

@@negativefg7922 I just now saw that video (with the doors) :D In that same video, Tooley was putting flowers into a flowerbed. He already had them in his inventory, so I don't know if that's evidence of fully-fledged _farming,_ or simply him picking up a flower and putting it down somewhere else, Minecraft-style.

I really hope this game eventually gets a creative mode version and map maker. This game looks super awesome and can't wait for more, I just know those aspects are things that'll make it go from 9.5 out of 10 (.5 marked off only because it seems like there's a bit of a learning curve in the survival aspect and complexity in the crafting features but it might be more forgiving than it seems in this video) to a 100 out of 10 for me. Are the maps randomly generated or is it a designated world?

Nice video! I watched the first one around when you put it out. Since you narrated over this one I wanted to drop some constructive criticism. I'm by no means an expert in the format though. -a lot the content felt like a run on sentence. Maybe try to break up the speech a little bit? Idk if others use music to do that or just slow down speech. You'll have to look at what others do. By the end it all just felt like a presentation I was sat down to watch. - maybe check your transcript a time again or two. Full of errors all throughout. Wasn't anything stopping me from watching though. Overall I really enjoyed the video! I hope you find some use out of my words, and if not I hope you had fun making the video! Thanks for the enjoyable content

Just a heads up to all you KZbinrs... KZbin has a captions system, if you provide the captions it would allow people who don't want them constantly popping in our a faces to switch them off and other people to move them or change the font size to aid them reading. I know your baked in subtitles is something to do with "capturing attention" but seriously, it's obnoxious.

@@crwdy. You might not understand the problem. The problem isn't just the popping. The platform has a system for captions, it allows people who want them to use them and change them in a way that they might need. It allows people to place the captions at a different position that might be easier to read, and change the font size to something comfortable. These baked in subtitles are only there for one reason, and that is to keep a constant popping in your face image to capture viewer focus. They are nothing but a detriment for all other reasons, they are nothing to do with accessibility, which is the whole point of subtitles / captions.
