Small tip for long range sniping Hold down the fire button after firing your bolt action. This will prevent you auto cycling the bolt and jiggling the scope real bad. Makes it 10x easier to see if your shots are landing or if you need to adjust. Then after getting this info, let go of fire button and it will auto cycle bolt

15:33 so clean. That’s why the variable zoom is the best thing they’ve added since the underbarrel nade launchers. This range is where snipers are so awkward but being able to zoom to a cool 2.5-4x instead of a 6x instantly makes getting fast head shots so smooth.

If you want to practice sniping try this in the future: Fill up with tracer rounds in whatever gun you want to practice with. Load into a PvE practice server with max scav population. Finally, with every trigger pull hold the mouse button down instead of just pressing and releasing so you can see exactly where your shots land. It should help a lot.

Tarkov is complicated for long range sniping. You are not only dealing with whatever version of physics BSG has picked for this day, but you are also dealing with the variance of server ping, player ping, and all that other crap. So the "lead" on one player may be different from the lead on another one. You might not notice it as much closer range, but the further out you go, the more it becomes a crapshoot. Another reason sniping is hard in Tarkov is because of the nature of most of the maps. The longer distances are rarely "exposed" to you, unless you are willing to put yourself in an absolutely insane position like on top of a tower or in the dome. So the number of times you can snipe further than say 100m is actually pretty small. I think only lighthouse has potential, but because there are a couple of places specifically made for them to start with. No matter what, good practice. You might want to try the 1 - 6 on top of say something like an M4 and see what happens.

Nice vid you have come on a long way keep up the production value :) But as a sniper main (AXMC my beloved) I think you are approaching the "learning to snipe" playstyle with the wrong mentality, its not about being able to hit moving targets or about sitting still in 1 area its all about map knowledge, positioning and patience, you should just wait for someone to stop moving for looting, healing, checking inventory, looking around or whatever else they are doing because a missed shot often means a missed kill. I main woods a lot (shocking I know lmao) and I can pretty much guarantee 1-3 kills per raid by setting up overlooking high traffic areas such as USEC camp, Emercomm or Sawmill (usually 2 at the same time) I would recommend watching/learning from Sgt. Prepper as he has some very good spots to get some long range sniping As for builds pretty much anything that slings M80 or LPS/PS is a solid choice again I'm more fond of the bigger AXMC but it can be a bit painful to get your hands on from the quest. Put on a bipod, 34mm scope rings with pic rails on top, 3-20x scope is my choice and a RAPTAR ranging system on top, this will let you almost instantly range to target no matter how far out they are and the 3-20 with the new variable zoom is AMAZING I average 550 meter head shots with no issue as long as you are comfortable with learning the drop off. One last thing, as soon as you are spotted you are better off running for the hills rather than staying to fight. Again great vid hope this long comment helps lmao
