I don't think a soul in the world would blame you for not grinding up electrical, heck with that slog. That will just a long term goal for Sammy that she'll figure out eventually. This was a really entertaining series to watch, but sounds like it was a pain to play. The massive grind required due to the ground floor being "lost" and no clear end game is a deadly burnout combo. I've taken to always including the Zombie Virus Vaccine and the Qualify To Escape so I can craft a cure or make an escape, to give every game a potential end goal in case I achieve what I want in a game and feel like I need some closure.

It's funny you mentioned that, because I've asked Lime about this once a while back. Specifically how he manages to make a series last as long as they do. He told me he always tries to have an "end goal" in mind with a challenge. With this, it was supposed to be Solar Power, but obviously that didn't end up being worthwhile with the slog of electrical grinding. Stuff like clearing out a town and fortifying it, or in one of his other series, building an entire house from scratch. I agree that having an end goal does a lot for the late game aspects. I also feel playing with friends makes it a lot easier as well due to like, y'know, having other folks around to do banter etc. I've used those mods as well which can do a lot for making a game feel like it has an "end goal" in sight. Like, combining it with something like the Insurgent mod and making it so you have to find a couple of the random mod specific items before evacuating also does a lot.

Sad to see Sammy go, but it feels like a good ending place: the base is absolutely sick! And it's nice for the challenge to end on a win :) Had time for one last cinematic moment when she went plunging off the roof to avoid the mob of zombies, that was a cool mental image.

As a note I always liked the Screw Screws mod. I never really get into metalworking or armor or car mods so I always have an abundance of screws. Screw Screws lets you convert between nails and screws. I don't really go with the nails to screws aspect but I'm not really converting them that direction. But I can definitely see hammering screws into nails thematically.

If your playing this get the "Jump" mod and the "Climb" mod They let you climb out the water, up a floor if you get stuck on the side of a building and it wont let you move The jump mod helps to avoid the above issue by jumping farther away from the building before you swim Just dont jump off two story building they spring your leg

Grinding sucks for sure, but crafting and exploration can keep things going. Don't let building up the house burn you out from the modpack entirely.. Although you usually have the workshop mods downloaded, you don't seem to make much from the workbench. Biggest exception being the tunnels series. And the nails!

Agreed. Electrical is a butt. My last long run I leveled up to 5 so I could use batteries on lamps then never used them. Maybe if they turned on automatically when you enter the room. In the end it was just easier to be indoors at my base when the sun was out and be in bed before10 when all light was gone.

Sad to see PZ shelved for the time being...but I play for pleasure, Lime has to do this for days on end as "a job" and a job you start to dislike is a job you will eventually do badly IME...and some skills in PZ are just ridiculously grindy and miserable...so, a sensible, (if unfortunate) decision here - Looking forward to many more adventures in the Limeverse when B42 drops.
