I created a Minecraft Deep Dark world in the Minecraft 1.19 Wild Update! I have one goal: To Defeat the Warden. But the Warden isn't as easy as it was last time I did this....

Unironically, I think that this is easier than a normal hardcore world (minus that part about the goal of killing the warden, because why bother killing the warden). There's only ONE enemy you really have to be careful of. All you have to do is break all the sculk shriekers around you, and the warden essentially goes _extinct!_ And if destroying sculk shriekers causes other nearby sculk shriekers to summon the warden, that's a complete non-issue. All you have to do is sprint jump away while sneaking, and the warden doesn't even get the chance to detect you!

You do know what the flaw in your logic is? It's a high risk world. A single mistake and you're dead and like that never happens in vanilla.... A simple slip up can kill you.

They would be hard to come by in a Deep Dark Only world, but wool blocks don't set off Sculk Sensors when placed, and if you surround a Shrieker with wool blocks it'll become deaf, and you don't even have to surround the whole Shrieker block, you only have to block off the angles facing the closest Sensors. If you could find a spider spawner and farm string you would be in business. Edit: actually if you find an ancient city there should be wool in the floors of the corridors that you can take.

Some stuff i noticed while exploring a ancient city: - Walking on wool does not trigger anything, the ancient cities passages are filled with wool on the floors and sometimes walls, look for it. - monsters and other mobs does not trigger anything either (not sure about this one). - The warden will sniff the air to find you, and head in your way. - you can cover a shrieker with wool to prevent activation.

I actually started a deep dark hardcore world of my own and I saw a bee buzzing by me about to trigger a sensor which would trigger a shrieked nearby and I started to panic but it made the sensor go off but not the shrieker I also noticed in the same world I was swimming in the ocean and I accidentally triggered a shrieker under water which it was my 3rd strike till the warden spawned and the warden couldn’t spawn under water

Nice, I can't even make it to the end (I defeated the ender dragon one time though, in 7 years of playing minecraft :/) Also if you just use a copper block on a stone cutter it can give you copper stairs or 4 cut copper to make 4 copper stairs

I've been playing minecraft since 1.16, and i keep on dying such as lavas, ravines, mobs, and i can make it to the nether but in a few minutes, i die bcuz of piglins and lava pool, also can't find a nether fortress

I know this because I used to die all the time and was bad at building, but after my 6 years of playing Minecraft I learned that you can get used to a environment such as the nether, end, or overworld. You just have to learn how to handle them and get better at techniques and combat. You will get items much quicker and will never have to struggle will simple mobs. It is also good to practice building and redstone to have better worlds and industrialization. Also keep playing! It's such a great game and I hope this motivated you more!👍

And then after many months, I come back to Minecraft, but I always want to start a new world (because of all the updates and the fact that it's been so long since I was in the previous one). ive actually done the exact same challange and i believe other biomes are harder to survive in than this one, one of my favorite world types for post apocalyptic vibes is beach only world it literally removes all life except for turtles and traders with no grass and a ton of hostiles

in deep dark worlds there are 2 main rules: stay away from water, dont place blocks in unsecured territory

Also deep dark caves are scary, sometimes when going through them itll sense vibrations from a different cave and possibly set off a shrieker. I usually try to find open caves that directly go to the ancient city, much easier

I personally like how difficult the warden is to kill. Unless you really go out of your way to cheese him, or fully prepare an arena you won't win, and he doesn't give good stuff. And when your designing an enemy that's supposed to be a blockade and not be handled the usual Minecraft way, that's what you want. The amount of effort versus reward you get from killing the warden means you'll do it for the bragging rights, but not much else. Like, I wanna kill the warden myself, but once I do it I'm probably never going to do it again. And Ill need to plan and get set up

the dungeon guardian in terraria also has a similar philosophy. its extremely hard / tedious to fight and there's really not much point to it at all. it does technically drop a vanity item, but thats just for show or bragging rights

@@nebbywebby I've killed the dungeon guardian a few dozen times, but then again once you reach end game that's really easy, fly ahead of him and just hit him with the zenith with max crit chance. As of now I have killed the warden twice. Both times we're more annoying than not to get set up, but not too bad because I had the most of the materials on hand. Make sure the shreiker was on the other side of a ravine, teleported across, then arrow. Really is no strategy with either one apart from Cheese it, and I'll probably never do it again now that I have proof of doing it

Tip: when the warden spawns, run in the opposite direction. He can’t detect you when he’s spawning and running gets you a safe distance away to where he can’t smell you.

I genuinely disagree. The whole allure of killing the warden is the fact that it’s such a monumental task. Making it drop any significant reward would just make me feel bad about it. It feels like it’s mocking the effort you put into the preparation, planning, and execution. You out in all this work, and the ‘recognition’ you get for it is the exact same thing everybody else who has completed the challenge can get, every time. Leaving it without any loot signals to the player that this isn’t a task, it’s a challenge - one that you get to define the rules and prizes for. And that means so much more than a cookie-cutter prize ever could.

Naw. Wardens are made to be avoided and snuck around. The reward for “defeating” the warden by avoiding it, is all the loot in the Ancient City. It’s still an impressive thing to kill, don’t get me wrong. I honestly can’t wait for the “killing the warden” speedrun category. But if it drops something, that gives the impression that it’s designed to be killed. Which it isn’t.

You could break the wool in the city to disable shriekers also if you set one off there is a 10 second cooldown so you can just run away in that 10 second time frame after you spawned a warden

Fun fact: if u break a shrieker when its shrieking, it wont summon the warden, i did that a lot in creative mode and i want to say that, if the shrieker shrieks, 1 second after you will get darkness, same with summoning the warden, means you have a total of... 5 seconds to break the shrieker before it summons the warden.

in the ancient city I would very methoticallly destroy shriekers 1 by 1 and then go back to base every time and wait 10 minutes it would take an afternoon or two but I would be safe

you know you only need a diamond sword and 2 god apples (which can be found in a single ancient city chest) to kill the warden. Put it in a hole using trapdoors, crit it until it starts to use its sonic boom attack, then immediately eat a gap before it hits you. Then just continue to crit it, eating the second god apple when you get low. The warden dies sometime after the second gap

This is why in my opinion the warden needs a buff. Too easy to cheese like this or with massive range. It doesn't need to be entirely impossible to kill but hard enough to kill that it's not easy to cheese

Sonic boom is a sound damage, not a magic damage. Its quite logical actually. The sonic boom is high pitch and therefore bad for our ears.
