reading korean is actually very easy, and there's also tons of apps that translate automatically. you just have to take a picture of the menu

This is exactly what I experienced too living in China, now living in Europe and feeling the massive difference, Asian countries in general have very good hearty deals when it came to food, not just in restaurants but also farmers market I miss it a lot

I lived in Korea for 4 years from 2013-2017, and often times the mom and pop restaurants would give my university students who I taught extra portions and free food because they knew how broke they were. They want the young people to eat more because they know how much they struggle to make it while studying. Sometimes they would give me extra food items too because I was a university instructor. It was an awesome experience.

What I like about Korea is that most foods are made with quality raw materials (veggy + meat). I usually stay in the Hongdae area and just roam around for food - always have some good finds for a measly few thousand won.

What a great video! I feel like eating in Asia and South America, food is super cheap and delish! Also to add, you are so lucky that no extra tax or tip is shown at the end of the bill! For $10 in the US, you probably have to most likely buy groceries and cook them. Eating out at fast food restaurants, you get maybe some hamburgers or tacos every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in the US... lol

I am from south korea but i’ve been living in Luxembourg for quite a while now. Nowadays i can only get a proper meal outside for minimum 12€ which is $11.72. + the food portion here is soooo bad for the price. the portion taste and price is still beyond amazing compared to luxembourg
