I purchased this bike over 2 years ago ... upgraded parts & 3 batteries ... it really is a pleasure to ride, you wont get the 62 miles stated on their site (especially if you eat full english breakfasts every day) more like 40 & i am 13.5 stone. Just make sure keepyour psi to 20 when setting out. Another thing i may add is to invest in tyre liners ... i use tannus armour ... check them out cos youre seriously gonna need them for off road👍🏽

I bought my first electric bike in 1999, and it got me onto a long road of freedom. OK it was not perfect, and I had a few other e bikes since. But then, in around 2012, i bought a top range electric bike, that had a 120 mile range, and all the extras like self adjusting disc brakes front and rear,and it is still working as well as ever in 2023. The best decision i ever made.

@@paultilly I had usually bought low budget e bikes before, with 13 amp hour batteries. Those ones usually let me down within 2 years. So decided to pay a lot more for this latest one.Its only a step through frame. But the battery is 30 amp hours ,I think a panasonic, and the disc brakes are still the original ones ,and still have miles to go on the pads.And the rest of the bike is of the same high quality

Nice one Lee. I'd suggest you go to your local store that sells motocross gear and pick up a pair of JT motocross gloves. Riding on tarmac at 22 mph and coming off, the fist thing that will hit the ground are your mitts.

Great review on the Cyrusher! Just one little thing please wear some biking gloves if you fall off at 20mph your hands against the tarmac will rub down to the bone in. 3 inches !! 😢 I like your videos to much too, so don't want to lose you!

Obviously the more you have it on high assist the more battery it will use. and make sure you have an extra strong padlock, cos the buggers are using angle grinders to cut them off. and the insurance company's won't pay up if your lock is not up to the gold standard. Really selling it there Lee😁

Hiya Lee, what would be a challenge is to ride the Ebike from the North to the South. You might need some foam in the inner tubes to prevent a puncture, definitely worth a challenge

Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while. During lockdown we got rid of one family car as we didn't need it cos of working from home. Now things are back to normal, I need something as we can't always manage on one car. My commute and other journeys are not that far and this is cheaper than buying another car. I could also do with the exercise. It's good to see a review by someone who is more like me and not a mountain bike fanatic/twenty something bloke. I'm still torn between this one and the XF800. Price is the main reason for this (I think the XF900 is worth the extra. My wife thinks the cheaper XF800 will do). I'll watch your other videos now I'm subscribed to your channel 👍

60 mile range, its going to last out a lot longer than most riders, my fido flagship has a quoted 70 miles but ive never tested that in reality, but i did 30 once and still had over half my packs charge left, i had nothing left. great to see your getting into the Ebiking what more does anyone else need for that 3 mile city trek 20 mph is a great cycling speed, in fact your get home a lot faster during rush hour than any car.

I love my old bike with an electric wheel at the front. No regrets. The great thing is it doesn't look like an electric bike. I haven't changed gear for over a year or so. Saying that, it's goes through the brake pads pretty fast!!

This looks great but way out of my price league, i bought an 800 wuid ebike from Pure last August, its been pretty good, i managed to bike 60 miles to blackpool with the help of a 2nd battery. I would advise anyone who is thinking of getting an ebike to test one for a few days with halfords, they are amazing but like all tech stuff, they can go wrong and end up becoming more expensive than you originally thought

You seriously need to raise your saddle for an optimal riding position.Your leg needs to be nearly fully extended on the down stroke for maximum power.. At the moment your sat on it line a pensioner on the way to the shops 😊

as a lifelong cyclist it always bugs me too when i see people on bikes with the seat miles too low. as well as doing joints and muscles no favour it's not comfortable either, but i suppose there's lots of people who don't realise, or have no clue how to easily adjust it and at least experiment

Looks like fun, does it have regenerative breaking? Thinking of a cycling holiday I once did in Scotland, with those long long downhills (after spending most of the morning climbing the damned thing), you could go a long way to recharging the battery in situations like that.

Thanks for the video on your E-Bike. Don't know if I would ever get one of these. I know the prices would be over 1000 dollars or more. i talked to one of my neighbors who has one, and he likes his E-Bike. Besides being powered we can also get a good workout. I don't know how other drivers in vehicles would get along sharing the town roads with an E-Bike since they only do around 25 mph. take care.

A great insight into electric bikes yes I'm tempted but I ride daily pedal power only with two pannier bags and a rucksack sack on for my shopping I like the pain as it keeps you fitter that's why my 20 year old Ford mondeo only as fifty two thousand miles on her clock but I think these bikes are good because they give freedom for people whatever there abilities are great blog Lee don't show us any more please on the bike because I'm so tempted 😂

I ride a nine electric bike 30 miles a day for fitness. I have avoided purchasing an electric bike because it would defeat my purpose for riding. Actually, I purchased a non electric fat tire bike instead. It’s like riding a motorcycle without an engine or pulling a trailer uphill. Great workout. My BP is 107/68, resting heart rate is 43, and my oxygen is 99. I’m 74 but I feel like I’m 30! But unfortunately I don’t look like I’m 30! I have plenty of fun peddling on my own unless I’m trying to climb a hill with my fat tire bike. I know that you can pedal an electric bike but you can’t get a maximum workout. I’m passing on both the EB and EV. 😅

Sorry to be a 'killjoy' but what you are riding is more like a moped/motorcycle than a normal pedal assisted cycle, I bet it would be hard to pedal with a flat battery. I fitted a pedal assist motor to my wife's touring cycle and it does help her a lot on steep hills but it still looks and rids like an ordinary cycle. I would not want to ride far with your heavy helmet on if I am honest although looking at the power of that machine you probably need it! It's really an electric moped; but bet it's good fun to ride. 😀

The problem. I am on my 3rd electric bike. Once the battery on the others died that was it. Nobody wanted them even for parts. Offered to cycle repair shops for free. No takers. Ended up in skips. Disposable bikes. Not ecologically friendly.

I paid 10K for my Triumph motorcycle. A guy pulled up next to me at a stop light on a really nice E-bike, we started off and he was gone in the distance as ran through my gears to keep up. Those E-bikes are fast. I talked with him, he said, he modified his, it goes 0-60 in under 4.2 seconds. Wow! 😢

You don't have to £2k for a decent e bike. £1,300 will get you a perfectly useable and durable bike. I've just ordered a Honbike uni4 at £1,800 all but a penny. What I find most annoying is the speed limit imposed on e bikes as I could easily cycle faster than that on an ordinary road bike.

If the e-bike is capable of 25mph it isn’t legal on the road, any faster than 15 mph and it needs lights, insurance, license etc.

@@TheMacMaster Rules are set regarding licensing and insurance on a motorised vehicle to keep everybody safe, not just the rider who believes they are safe. I'm not having a go but, as a motorcycle instructor, I'm well aware of the results of self-belief outweighing training and experience and it's awful. The flipside is that giving more car drivers the experience of the vulnerability of two wheels can only be a good thing for overall awareness on the roads!
