I think there could be impact of small number of players. Only 14k. The game propably creating players mainly from the best countries due to reputation. You could try custom database and for example add all players from international teams. You could try even add all players from obscure nation and see the impact of various settings.

For example every year game is adding ~1000 newgen. Almost all of them will be in the best clubs due to reputation. So for example there will be 100 new players in England. 100 in Wales and Gibraltar (because they are loaded) 80 in Spain, 50 in Germany etc. From nation like Liban, San Marino could be 2 or 3, so even with 200ratings chanc of good wonderkind is lower than 1 of 100 generated in England :D

i did a similar experement myself where i went full ham on flipping everything(youth rating, football importance, economic factor, etc, also not allowing dual nationalities and 100 years to gain citizenship) and after about 60ish years it finally started producing some results, i think the game hard codes the countries in the top 40 to always produce players of 130+ for about 20-40 years from the start of the game, just what i've seen though

The leagues you load very much impacts the youth ratings. It's not 1 thing that effects it all. Youth rating, combined w the leagues, the Youth coaching of the teams in the league, the Heads of youth development from the teams, and then the senior coaching of the teams loaded. If you don't load the leagues, a lot of holes appear. Wales has a 200, but has, well, Welsh facilities, youth coaching ratings, etc so they won't do as well as England w a 200.

There's more to it than just generated players. Stuff like population, game importance and if its a developed state. Also amount of players loaded is a big thing to do with these type of experiments

Could be interesting (even if it would have to be manual) to auto assign every single player in the world a second nationality as a nation like San Marino. See if they are able to convince a squad of 3rd choice from elite nation players to declare for them and become a good team. Feels like eventually a tipping point would be hit where they just turn into the worlds best XI

Using a retro data base bringing back the best teams from each team and letting that play out so you would have the Invisibles vs uniteds treble team vs modern day city vs Jose Chelsea vs instabul Liverpool ect would be hard work but a fantastic idea

Experiment idea: Perfect player, locked to a team until 2100, but injuries are modded to become much more common (and the perfect player has 20 injury proneness). Will they be able to stay fit?

2 things I see done wrong for this experiment to work. the loaded leagues have big impact as regen quantity of not loaded nations depend on the nations reputation. so smaller nations dont generate enough new players for the 200 rating to have enough of an impact. The facilities of the teams. specificially youth recruitment and coaching. even with 200 rating a team with bad youth recruitment isnt likely to get high potential players. otherwise you would get crazy good newgens when playing in the english lower leagues for example.

Try 1 without loading England, Germany, Spain and Italian Leagues. Mexico could be good with Netherlands, Sweden, Croatia etc

Use a team (hopefully hannover96) in the super league yk the mod and then rebuild them with like a wheel which has good and bad stuff on it
