I Take My In-laws Through "A" Trail With The Sherp!

My Father and Mother in-law couldn't wait to come for a little Sherp adventure up A trail. The water level has been dropping but still has a long ways to go to get back to normal! Thank you all for watching! Hope you enjoyed the video!

That's cool, getting to spend time with the wife's parents... out on the trail of all places! That Sherp is worth its weight in gold for your elders to come with you and not have them getting banged up in a jeep or ATV. That thing is a true utility vehicle up there... And when they open dams up in Texas!

In Russia we call this kind of wehicle as "snow&swamp crosser". Yep, we have a lot of swamps, half year of snow, but not every one can buy a helicopter... ))) In major way this direction of transport came from military technology - only god knows how many techologies are still under secret from USSR we have... There are several brands of this kind, I mean Serp is not only one. My favorite one is "Shaman" - real monster of offroad. It even possible to drive in a city and it has ship propeller as an option. You can retrofit a water breaker, kinda like they have on vehicle pontoons in the military. A simple sheet of plexy that's mounted to the door and body.

I really like this thing.. unfortunately at a price of 100 000 $+ not too many people can afford this. One thing I'm wondering is the durability and replacement cost of the 4 tires, which are one of a kind.

Out here in this part of California we don't really have a need for Sherps. Mostly I drive fire roads in my Nissan 4x4 and it's perfect for that kind of fun. But I do enjoy watching Sherp videos. They do seem to be a great all-around ORV.

There’s two levers that push forwards, one for each side of tires, you push only the left side, the tires on the left go forwards and the ones on the right stay in place, allowing it to pivot. The farther you push it forwards the more power or speed you’ll get. Then it’s got all the goodies like being able to lower tire pressure and increase it.

we had massive rains in 2011 and then again in 2014. southern part of the province has finally started to recover this summer. northern part still has lots of water. also we had record snow fall in 2012 i think it was. a few really wet years and it screwed a lot of things up

Alright, i have a question and im not sure of a better place to have it answered than a youtube channel that deals with nothing but can am atv's. So, yesterday we took our bikes out for a ride and everything went well for about the first 2 hours. We had recently replaced the stator on our 650xt (2012 model) due to the previous stator being fried and draining the battery. Backstory aside, we're riding along with no issues, i throw the 650 into a few holes and need to be pulled out, no issues. After about the third hole, the atv gave me "Check DPS". Let the panic set in, am i right? I ignored it just trying to enjoy the day, and sooner or later i start to feel power loss and i know that the injectors aren't getting enough power to feed the engine. My question being, what could be a potential cause of the battery drain? With a fresh stator, i couldnt imagine that it fried again on the first ride out...
