i will say, as someone with dark dark brown hair (like...nearly black dark brown) i tried the blue and i did have to use SO much to have it only appear a little bit in certain lights. but i've tried other brands of hair makeup too, it just doesnt work for dark dark hair unless we go to a professional and get bleached first. BUT thanks to your videos on how to deal with bleached hair, i can still keep my waves relatively healthy :)

Yes!!! Curl Smith, please make this gel in a clear form!!! I would definitely try it! I tend to like gritty gels! There other curl products have not worked for me, but I would totally try this gel in clear. But I am obsessed with their blow dryer!

I have mostly grey hair and I’ve just ordered the turquoise. I’m so excited to try it. I had dyed my hair copper red for over 35 years. I’ve transitioned to my natural grey color over the last four so I’m excited to have a curl- friendly, temporary color.

I have dark brown hair (almost black) and the copper works so well for me. Sometimes I use just a bit for a shimmer and sometimes more - once the copper is finished I’ll try either the rose gold or the red. Let’s see! 😊 great tip to have damp hair - I’ve used it mostly on wet wet hair. I know you can also use on dry hair - it’s a more contrasting look. I have zero mess when I use the hair make up. A bit of transfer at night on pillow but not on my clothes. Thanks for sharing!

I have jet black hair and I used the red and gold, and loved them. They are a true gel that will keep the curls in place, but who doesn’t love that too. Also it’s for temporary use so, in my opinion, definitely a fun way to add some color

I tried the rose gold and enjoyed it. It’s not crazy colorful but it is definitely noticeable. I also loved the curls and hold I got! I tried the shine gel thinking it may be similar without the color and just haven’t had quite the same effect. So like you, I would love to see something like this without the color too!

Actually, I have the turquoise in my hair in my profile pic on here. That one is especially hard to see. It mostly made my hair look darker, not sparkly or blue/turquoise. My hair is maybe one shade darker than yours naturally.

I have discovered the reason for the variety of rating on this. Yours is a gel. Mine is pure liquid. It’s a metallic shimmery, blue liquid thinner,ñ than shampoo. You have a gel, so it doesn’t go anywhere. My bathroom is covered in blue everywhere because it was a super thin liquid! It’s an incredible mess. I’m waiting for it to dry, and I hope it looks as great as yours. Maybe I got some fancy dupe. When I ordered it. I did get mine from Amazon. My packaging looks exactly like the packaging on CurlSmith.

Thank you for doing this video! I've been wanting to try these, especially the red. Good to know that it should be used on damp, not soaking wet, hair. The Rose Gold is a very pretty subtle color on you! Is your hair layered or blunt on the bottom? I'm trying to decide if I want blunt all over with face framing layers or layered overall (I think this doesn't grow out as well). You hair is ALWAYS beautiful Courtney!

I did try these hair make up gels for fun, and whilst I loved the cast, definition and color on my black hair, it transferred to my hood and the back of my jacket where my hair was resting. Also it did not last after the first day. How would you stop the transfer and make it last?

I haven’t had an issue with the transfer. Even when my hair was super long and rubbing on my shirt. 🤷‍♀️ I do tend to put my hair up pretty often because I have small children and need my hair out of my face.
