wd my passport is basically the only option if you're traveling year-round. It's lightweight, but don’t mistake it for reliable - I've seen it break just from slightly dropping it. Save your money and heartache!

Why is the WD My Passport the only option? Shouldn't any of them travel well year-round? SanDisk seems very sturdy.

ADATA Elite SE880 seems cool, but can anyone explain why SSDs need a two-meter drop resistance? are people throwing their drives around for fun?

RGB on an SSD like the Lexar SL660 Blaze is the dumbest 'feature.' It’s a storage device, not a nightclub. Maybe for people who spend more time looking at their setup than using it?

Doesn't the Crucial X10 Pro need a Super USB 5.3 Gen 5 port to operate? Otherwise, you're stuck with 2 megabytes per second speed, right?

Honestly, if you need an SSD with RGB lighting like the Lexar SL660 Blaze, you really need to rethink your life choices. It’s a storage device not a night club! Raves don’t make files transfer faster, guys.

That Samsung T9 has a tougher exterior than my ex’s lasagna, but without a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port, it’s like a Ferrari running on donkey fuel. Old tech always leads to headaches.

do you know if Apple Thunderbolt 5 supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2? I keep finding contradicting information

Crucial X10 Pro is more like the tortoise of SSDs, not Usain Bolt. paying that much for something that's half fast only makes sense if you've got cash to burn.

I missed it. Which one was your favorite?

who even needs a ton of storage like that?? my ancient 128GB flash drive works just fine. Spending $400 on a LaCie Rugged SSD is literally the most idiotic thing I've heard of.

Grown men shouldn't be wasting cash on RGB SSDs like Western Digital P40. It's like buying a disco ball to dance alone in your room. Stick with something practical like a hard drive; those things never fail.

SanDisk Professional PRO-G40 is a joke with its price. Thunderbolt 3 is practically irrelevant these days with USB-C taking over everything.

samsung t7 is actually slower than a turtle. don't believe the hype!! my old HDD transferred faster than this 'flash'.

Why would anyone need an SSD that needs a fancy 'carabiner loop' like the SanDisk Extreme Pro? Just get a normal drive, who cares if it can rock climb with you?
@SrijitaBanerjee-r1w19 күн бұрын
The ADATA Elite SE880 sounds like a joke. Throttles faster than a teenager's sports car? Yeah, maybe buy it if you want your data hotter than your gaming console running Call of Duty.

LaCie Rugged SSD Pro just looks like a fancy paperweight. Who even needs to run over their SSD with a car?? Waste of money for people with too much cash and no brains.

I can't believe people actually spend this much on SSDs. Just get a good old hard drive and be done with it! Faster isn't always better, especially when your wallet is left crying

Samsung X5 is such an overpriced piece of junk. Yeah, speed is great, but when was the last time you actually needed to transfer a galaxy's worth of data in seconds?
