Why should you get a multi-port GaN PD Wall Charger? The biggest benefit is being able to charge multiple devices at once BUT a quick trip to Amazon results in a ton of products. I’ve bought and tested the most popular ones and here are my Top 5 multi-port 45W to 67W GaN PD Chargers.
Top 5 Multi-Port GaN PD Chargers (with Amazon affiliate links*)
1. Anker 735 GaN Prime 67W Charger (A2669) - mreh.ca/43LOjCE
2. Spigen ArcStation Pro GaN 452 (PE2203UJ) - mreh.ca/43Pkt0b
3. VoltMe Revo 65W GaN Charger - mreh.ca/43R27vM
4. Belkin BoostCharge Pro 45W GaN Charger - mreh.ca/3U7oo43
5. AOHI Magcube PD 40W GaN Charger - mreh.ca/3J64Wzm
*The links have model numbers encoded in them since brands reuse product names
In general, based on my testing, I personally think the 65-67W chargers are going to be the most useful because you get an extra charge port (it is USB-A though) BUT at 65W, I am able to charge my M3 MacBook Pro while gaming without losing any battery power. At a fraction of the size of the normal charger

3:00 #3
4:40 #2
6:04 #1
#1 - Anker 735 GaN Prime 67W Charger (A2669) - mreh.ca/43LOjCE
-It features 67W output across three ports, adapting power distribution (67W solo, 45W and 20W for two ports).
-Although the heaviest, its size is optimized for portability and effective heat management.
-Nice design with blue accents and a reflective finish.
-Performance-wise, it leads, particularly in full capacity tests, and maintains the lowest temperature.
-With its price modestly above average, the newer Anker 735 offers unmatched performance and longevity.
#2 - Spigen ArcStation Pro GaN 452 (PE2203UJ) - mreh.ca/43Pkt0b
-The Spigen ArcStation Pro GaN 452 ranks second, with a newer version outperforming an earlier one with faster charging and foldable prongs.
-Its embossed logo facilitates easier unplugging, and it provides 45W charging, with a 25/20W split if both ports used.
-It performs well, especially in tablet charging and multi-device scenarios, albeit with higher heat output.
-At $45, it's cost-effective, offering great value with its design and charging capabilities for those needing a dependable dual-port charger.
#3 - VoltMe Revo 65W GaN Charger - mreh.ca/43R27vM
-The VoltMe Revo 65 charger offers good value with some unique features despite being the largest in its test group.
-It has three ports, two Type-C and one Type-A, and stands out with a textured design and orange accents for easy handling and visibility.
-While it can deliver up to 65W through a single port, using multiple ports reduces the output, limiting one device to maximum speed.
-It shines in solo device charging, outperforming others by 16%, but falls slightly behind in multi-device scenarios.
-Its cooler operation during use is a major plus for durability.
-Priced at $25, 40% below average, the VoltMe Revo 65 is an attractive choice for its performance and price.
#4 - Belkin BoostCharge Pro 45W GaN Charger - mreh.ca/3U7oo43
-It delivers 45W, split into 25W and 20W across two ports, requiring strategic device connection for optimal charging.
-Its design is simple, with a white finish and smooth texture, but it stands out for its clearly labeled ports and collapsible prongs, accommodating its larger size.
-Performance-wise, it charges iPhones 10% faster than average and shines in tests with multiple devices, charging 18% faster, although it tends to run hotter than expected.
-Priced at about $30, this charger offers good value, especially considering Belkin's typically higher price point and the charger's superior test results.
#5 - AOHI Magcube PD 40W GaN Charger - mreh.ca/3J64Wzm
-The MagCube features a 40W output in a compact design, with indented sides for easy removal, setting it apart from smoother alternatives.
-It's known for its unique yellow color and an indicator light that signals charging status, enhancing usability.
-While it charges single devices efficiently, offering a 12% faster charge for iPads, it struggles with two large devices, showing a 20% decrease in performance.
-The charger tends to heat up more than others but is optimal for charging a combination of smaller devices.
-Priced at $30, the MagCube is valued for its portability and effective charging of individual devices.

Great review, as always! Anker 735 rocks in my personal use. I’ve been traveling for 8 months and this unit consistently charges my MacBook Pro, iPad, and iPhone so fast that I don’t even worry about charging anymore. I connect a device and in under 30 minutes I’ve got enough juice to use it for a few hours. No-brainer buy!

I believe the reason for the design difference in the Anker plug is due to the taller (older) version having a tendency to fall out of a vertical wall outlet…especially in a frequently used/ worn outlet(e.g., hotel room) This is because the older version of the plug is top heavy. The shorter/stubby (new) version shouldn’t have that problem. However, this newer version will take up more space on most power strips and may not fit as easily into an office desk power supply (e.g., the type built into the top of a lot of corporate conference room desks).

I know videos can’t be infinitely long, but one thing I care about more than anything is footprint. I’m usually in situations where speed of charging doesn’t matter a ton. On the other hand, I frequently find myself short of outlets. Finding a charger that takes up exactly one outlet is tougher than you might think! So many of them encroach on the outlets around them. Great video!

Curious to ask, is it better to 1. to use one charger like 735 and then add a plug changer (like changing British to America) to the local charger requirement 2. or is it better to just buy one that has multiple plugs version like the anker powerport 3 3. or those big ass square like chargers that can in and out different versions?
@PSKuddel
@PSKuddel Ай бұрын
@@wilsonlamlyt7138 Personally, so far I travel with Apple‘s Dual Charger, as only Apple‘s chargers have a solid system with interchangeable wall plug types, which is just much more convenient to use within a country, instead of adding some wobbly lengthy clunky adapter to your charger, that often won‘t attach properly to the wall. I would love to see a solution with a powerful charger and several outlets, that has an interchangeable system of plugs like Apple does, though.

The Voltme 65W is not safety listed. A CE mark is self-declared and thus worthless. Chargers have been known to electrocute people by allowing high voltage to pass through to the low voltage side. Most chargers under 100W don't have power factor correction and are inefficient. For low power chargers it's not a big deal but at 65W its wasteful. Some chargers do not meet USB PD voltage specifications, excessively sag under load, or have significant ripple. Some chargers will overheat and throttle. Is all of this being tested?

Excellent video, looking for your next review in the 100-300w range. 67W is not a good choice, it's usually coming with multiple port, but it's inefficient when you charge macbook and ipad/iphone together. Something more powerful, 100w or 150w will be more useful.

What about 30w ones? Don't really need higher than that. I was thinking to get one for the new ipad pro 11" but not sure if it matters that much. And I know the ipad is limited to 31w so I don't see a point if higher than that. I also only plan to use it for the ipad, so it doesn't need to have more ports. And would love if it was small for the surge protector to not have too much space taken up when plugged (ie blocking other ports I want to use) But idk what to get.

Thing is this brick is big but the plug is sideways so doesnt block outlets. Figures i found out Dewalt has a 65 watt 3 port thats new and more what i needed. Smaller and runs far cooler according to those who have it. Although i get lots of attention with the Otterbox.

from what I've seen. a 5w charger is what u mainly need. what do ppl do? plug their phone when they go to sleep. u dont want to fast charge ur phone all night, u dont need it...sure there are safety features in the phone hardware/software as well as the brick to slow down the charge as it gets to 100%, but for me i use a fast charger as a emergency when i need a charge cuz im about to be out and about... most phones can usually last a day without needing to be plugged in anyways. so 5W to chargee overnight. fast charging when i need it when it counts. what drives me crazy is my cousin playing games on his phone and using his fast charger the whole time he is playing. im talking gaming at 100% charge with the cable still attached... that will kill ur battery

FYI collapsible prongs are NOT always a good thing. I just had an Otterbox 20w/30w charger crap out on me … after pretty minimal use (left in one outlet for a year or more, the prongs didn't appear connected (rolling as one). Looking at it to see what was wrong, one prong FELL OUT. Yes, fell out. It appears the metal prong was only held in by some plastic hub, and without that intact, the prong literally just came out like a child's baby tooth. Glad I didn't have that happen while it was plugged into an outlet! I may try that Belkin but dang Anker has never let me down. Chargers and cables have all been solid for me.

Depends on the charger and the cable, some chargers always step down, others step down if the cable signals that its active and some cables always signal as active when plugged in. Both behaviors are almost never listed or documented, I believe UGreen is the former.

I like power adapter with a lot of ports. It’s easy to find multiple USB-A ports but somehow it is much harder to find one with more than 2 USB-C ports.

to me the best is only from ugreen, i got the 65w, 120w and 100w, heavy, lukewarm, safe, at a reasonable price tag.

I like mycharger because of its built-in cable for my lightning devices and the other for my usbc. Not small very heavy, not what you're reviewing. But it also is a powerbank. hey! Tell monty, Hey!

Every single one of your links across all of your videos do not take me to the specific product - it just puts the name in the search bar and searches and it never comes up as one the results after searching. It’s clearly on my end based off other people locating it but I’m not sure how to fix it… Trying to get the anker 735 you suggested but the new version isn’t coming up. Only the old version whenever i search for it
