Its because you cut the strawberries into very thick slices , they cut theirs into very thin slices . And those hearts on the apple were so perfect , your carving skills are great.

You cut the strawberry too thick. They should have been like 2mm not 5. The thinner the strawberry the more juicy they are and you are more able to form it by your own will. Hope this helps

For the tomato and strawberry, don't slice all the way through leave them connected. Also slice thinner if possible. Love your vids! It'd be cool to show a progress vid if you decide to try any of the failed ones again

The strawberry has to be ripe and very juicy second use a paring knife to make very thin cuts the juices from the strawberry should stick themselves to each other use one hand to twist the other to keep its shape

The strawberry rose, you sliced all the way through it, in the video they didn't cut all the way but left it connected so it can be fanned open later. Great try Rapha, as always I enjoyed your content and especially your comments, funny as heck.

For the strawberry rose I think it’s because they did thinner slices and it may have been a bit more ripe from the color which may have made it more flexible

When you look at the kiwi lotus flowers, they dont really put them into water. it is a black plate with a little bit of water, so the kiw does not float. It sits nicely on the plate and gives the illusion of a dark lake.
