Rosanna, Al Dente, the little guy in the pasta, is BPA free and corresponds to EU food safety standards, which are pretty strict. My parents have an egg that plays music in a similar fashion for perfectly cooked eggs. Nobody bats an eye about that in Germany :-D

Yes! EU Safety is oftentimes way stricter than in the US. And a battery in boiling water is no problem if the gadget is made for that. Waterproof gadgets are no secret and batteries made for high temperatures is also pretty normal.

I know California is really really strict on their views on what is safe and not safe and I believe that is where she lives. There are a couple things she has been really strict about that I just sigh with. I have a really awesome microwave rice cooker that I have never had trouble with which is plastic that she would probably hate as well.

Please understand some gadgets you don’t think are useful or you think doing something by hand is easier, but as someone who is disabled, getting a little extra help, even if it’s not perfect and I have to fix it a little before getting the final product, that’s a win to us. I love you channel and always will! Just putting my opinion out there, just like you did yours

@@katjabittel9901 Just because you can't imagine it doesn't mean we don't live with it, Friend. You'd be surprised. Watching that lemon slicer thing, I was thinking it looks perfect for me. I can't reliably hold or use any larger blade. My hands have spasms and twitches. Many "weird gadgets" designed to make something easier are intended or were designed to fill an existing need for the disabled or elderly population. If you live a long life, which I'd wish for you and all of us, you will be disabled one day and want nice ways to make life easier and keep you doing the things you love.

Aw I was hoping you would love the waffle iron 🥲 I have a DASH rice cooker, and it’s great. The waffle irons are so cute and perfect for dorms and small apartments :) and everyone needs an immersion blender! Mine’s come in handy so many times

I’ve been watching your videos for many years. I remember your nerdy nummys introduction! You are the reason why I love baking sweets. So I think I was in sixth grade! I know have graduated college with an Associates Degree and going for my Bachelor’s next year. When I feel sick I watch your videos and I love watching your old videos bc they make me so happy. I think it's a bit unfair to buy a MINI-Waffle Maker and then complain it's too small. I get wanting more and everything... but don't buy a mini, then. With how well it worked and the "cute pattern" shouldn't it be a 5-Star MINI-Waffle Maker? It did what it's meant to. Edit: Also, didn't they determine Stanley thermoses are RADIOACTIVE or something?

Stanley cups have a lead pellet in the base (not in direct contact with your drink) to seal the insulation. Supposedly it’s fine unless the metal button covering it comes off, which does happen occasionally. At that point you’re getting lead exposure from the outside of the cup, and it needs to be returned to Stanley for a replacement.

You can upgrade it with fruit, yogurt, sirup, chocolate sauce and so much more. I think kids loose interest pretty quickly with these patterns. But maybe I’m wrong. Each to their own, right? 😉✌🏼

i have that cuisinart food processer thing. i make my smoothies in the food processor. you can't do a lot at once but for one serving and the ease of use/cleaning. its a good little tool. i haven't tried the whisk attachment because i prefer a hand mixer as well. it was like $5 at a thrift store. the immersion blender also works well

I have a version of the red bowl thing and I love using it for popcorn and then some other snacks. I put the popcorn in the bottom and then my snacks that would melt in the top and I only need one bowl for it. It also works for chips and salsa so you don't need two bowls.

We have an emursion blender and we usually use when we only need a little bit of whipping cream, ours is really old so I just thought it was cause of that it got warm and the whisk was a little bit unstable, I think that the blender is for when you only need to do something small but we have also had our fair share of spills, one time I was going to release the button for speed, and accidentally let the cup to instead, we had half whipped cream everywhere

I use my egg slicer to slice olives and mushrooms. Saves loads of time and slices them uniform.
