I believe it'll be quite a while before 5G is fully integrated into the Nigerian telecommunications ecosystem. Even 4G hasn't been completely integrated yet.

It is a good development but even the 4GLTE is not available all over the country and the speed is not encouraging. It brings me to this conclusion that we are not ready in Nigeria. Even our data prices and data allocated is not encouraging...
@bensonbabatunde63475 жыл бұрын
@UC6AUubsBaFDVmqrCrKvaFMw You don't have to worry about that. This year saw the introduction of 5G smartphones albeit expensive but from next year 5G smartphones will be a little less expensive and even midrange devices will have 5G capabilities. OEMs like Xiaomi/Redmi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme and even Samsung will release phones next year. It helps that Qualcomm has released the SD 865, 765 and 765G SoCs. Even MediaTek released too and it will find its way to some cheaper devices next year... I still maintain that we are not ready for all this in Nigeria. Even 4G speed not what we're getting.

MTN 5G is just mind blowing, the thought of having such technology here in Nigeria gives me goosebumps. Are we ready?, Well, I'd say that Nigerians are ready for better living which means we are ready for 5G, but the major question is, are phone manufacturers ready for us, 5G phones are on the high side, it took quite a while for phone manufacturers to adopt 4G network onto their devices, they even made it a big deal, making it the selling point of phones 😂. So in summary, Nigerians are ready for 5G if we can get affordable devices that can run the network. Thumbs up Fisayo for this. #FodaAdu
