I never knew Katy perry purchased braggs! Learned something new 😄 will have to take notice of the dilution next time

I also did not know that Bloom & Perry purchased Bragg's. I use their Coconut Aminos on everything. I love the flavor. I have to eat low acidity foods & I have to be very stingy with ACV use. I think I will give their diluted brand a try since I only use for sauces & cooking. Thanks for the info and the reaction.

@bendingriver71018 ай бұрын
As someone who makes their own apple cider vinegar I have never had Bragg's but I can tell you that the darker color comes from a longer ferment with a healthier mother and some natural evaporation that occurs in the secondary ferment after the apples are strained out.
@umbertlambert21138 ай бұрын
The lady in the video should read your post then. Are you hearing video lady? You needlessly accused Katy Perry of diluting and that too FOR PROFIT to her face when the paler color had nothing to do with dilution. Spoke too soon huh? KP fan here.
@bendingriver71018 ай бұрын
@@umbertlambert2113 I mean, that's half true. If the apple cider vinegar reduces because it's evaporating that means there is less water and less time. It is, by definition, less concentration with LAB and has a higher rate of water. I believe it is diluted but the dilution isn't occuring from adding water but from less evaporation and less time for the LAB to develop
@umbertlambert21138 ай бұрын
@@bendingriver7101 Yes I agree, but even what you described can be done to obtain a specific flavor and is not cutting corners for profit. The person in the video needlessly made assumptions while writing that DM.
@bendingriver71018 ай бұрын
@@umbertlambert2113 hard disagree. Not letting it ferment/evaporate inherently increases profits. The expense of fermented food is the cost of storing it in a fairly temperature controlled area. If Bragg's used to ferment for 4 months then switched to three months they literally get one more batch of apple cider vinegar every year.
@umbertlambert21138 ай бұрын
@@bendingriver7101 Question: When something could have been done for the purposes of flavor OR profit why are you automatically focusing on the latter. When someone might have done for a good or bad reason and both are equally likely, we must ALWAYS give the benefit of the doubt to the person and assume that they did it for the GOOD reason. It's called seeing the glass half full. Let's say that Katy HAD INDEED done the change for taste purposes, then is the video host's message justified? When you DON'T KNOW someone's motivation is it a good idea to just assume like that?
@Yamp448 ай бұрын
Another really fun video idea. I hope more of them are coming. Please be careful if you decide to try any of the "health" Goop product. There has been a lot of debate about the fact that Goop products pretend a lot of benefit for your health without anything concrete to prove they really work, and some people even have experienced ill effects using them.

Salmon from the fjords of Norway is farmed salmon btw. It is the basic standard for salmon in Europe nothing fancy, just farmed fish
@einundsiebenziger54888 ай бұрын
Right, about 90 % of all frozen or smoked salmon commercially available in Europe is farmed salmon from Norway. Some is from Scotland but neither is any more special than the other.
@volundrfrey8968 ай бұрын
You're not wrong, although in Europe at least it's not hard to find wild Norwegian salmon. And the Scandinavian salmon is a bit different to eg Alaskan salmon. With that said since Gwyneth is involved I'm willing to bet a substantial amount of money on the fact that it's the cheapest farmed salmon she could find.
@DahliaLegacy8 ай бұрын
I was going to say, isn't Norway known for their farmed salmon? lol It's like she's just using fancy words to make people feel better about eating her products to justify her price tag.

I am Italian and I was also wondering why as an american business she chose to get salmon from Norway (which is good salmon and maybe she also chose some sustainably wildcaught one who knows) instead of getting it right there from Alaska(?) Like she has right there in America a state with one of the best quality wildcaught salmon why Norway? I mean its like if us italian made a product with 100% greek olive oil, they do have an amazing olive oil but if its an italian product why not using our own amazing one?
@DahliaLegacy8 ай бұрын
@@user-ei6fn7qr4d That makes things clear that she's buying cheap and selling for high-profit margins. Alaska is known for its wild salmon. You go to the supermarket here and basically all wild caught is from Alaska. We even have reality tv shows based on it. lmao

While I think her food is overpriced and i never tried it, if you buy any real good high standard food in LA these days it is not that much less expensive, for high quality produce. I think it is always up to the consumer to think smartly and not buy just anything! I was however shocked about the bragg brand! because that's straight on fouling the coustomer for profit!

The Kardashians being White is debatable. Are Mestizo or most Mexicans "White?" It really depends on the context and place. Armenians live geographically in Asia, even more so historically. They are Caucasian, but so are Turks, Arabs, Jews, Persians, Egyptians, and Berbers, and most Americans would not consider them "White." When I first saw the Kardashians, I thought they were either Mestizo or Middle Eastern (speaking as an East Asian American), not European/solely European. Do not misunderstand me. A non-White person is perfectly capable of cultural appropriation, but the Kardashians aren't necessarily White to everyone is the point. On top of that, when does it become cultural appropriation? Kendall Jenner seems to be marketing 818 as her brand, which it is, not claiming all Tequila to be hers. I remember growing up in the US and a lot of other Asian Americans would culturally "claim" boba tea to some extent, but they were Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, etc. and not Taiwanese. One could argue boba tea has since evolved since its origins to be a part of many different cultures throughout Asian by the late 1990s/early 2000s, but then one could argue the same about tequila evolving to be a part of American culture.
