It's an amazing tutorial, but I still have a question about the 'halation node tree.' You demonstrated the halation part in the video, but I didn't see the rest of the node operations, such as WB, print film, or HSV saturation." 4:32

Hi! Thanks so much for watching, I was only focused on the “Halation” for this tutorial, I have other videos on my channel where I talk about the HSV saturation, and Chromatic Adaptation for WB! 🙏🏽

Halation effect is not active on the free version of Davinci 19 😔
@ChristopherChaconYTАй бұрын
Hi! Thanks for watching, and no it is unfortunately not :/ butttt you can try and do it with the last technique I showed, which is doing it from scratch, just watch the color space transform you start your node tree with so it all matches harmoniously!

could you do a tutorial on your colorgrading? i currently have davinci free version😢

Hey!! Thanks for watching, I think you may be referring to the full screen video with the OFX plugin visible. You can do this by pressing “Shift + F” on your keyboard! 🔥

Have you tried DaVinci 19
@ChristopherChaconYT6 ай бұрын
I have tried the beta yes!! There are some cool new features in there I might make a video about, but I don’t recommend making the switch to anyone doing professional work until it’s 100% safe so you don’t lose your projects lol anything you’re curious about?

@@ChristopherChaconYT I've also tried beta and tried some film emulation. And I'm curious of how people will use the Film Look Creator. Currently I'm using it to enhance the emulation LUTs in resolve but I'm seeing people just using FLC on its own. Thoughts?
@ChristopherChaconYT6 ай бұрын
@@laserfliptoboneless I think it's aimed primarily towards creators who are looking to get "started" with an "easier" tool that's more familiar and slider-based, coming from other programs where color grading is not "node based" like in Davinci. Specially because the developers know how popular film emulations have become. I think it has some good potential and it's a nice addition to everyone's tool set and the way you're using it, is smart. However, I don't think it's anywhere near close to replacing a tool like dehancer, it's not on the same level, and I don't think many professionals will stop working with their node trees in favor of the FLC. :)
