I Tested DJI OSMO Action 4 for 365 Days and Here's What I Found

Can you tell me how to activate action 4..i scanned and downloaded the mimo app and logged in to it but its not showing the icon for activation..i cant find the Cam on the app for further setting.. my phone is Samsung s24 ultra.. can anyone pls help

Just hit the camera button the app, it will search for the camera and connect. Make sure to keep your wifi and Bluetooth on.

@@McFilmin got any recommendations? And do they have a multipurpose mount like a clamp mount or something for it? First party or third?

Not so much the clamp mount, you will need to get a third party clamp but there are other handles, chest mounts, neck mount, and suction mount by DJI. That's what I can think of. If you go for gopro mounts just make sure to pick up extra magnetic clamps to attach it and get a gopro grab bag to help attach gopro accessories. I hope that helps 🙂

This camera looks great! I have a GoPro Hero 8 which died after 15 months of intermittent low action use. VERY UNIMPRESSED! I’ll never buy another of those but this camera looks like a good replacement. Just one question, can you charge and use it at the same time? GoPro yes, Sony x3000, no. Thanks.

Yes you can charge and use at the same time. In fact I think it’s compatible with the charging stick DJI made - plugs into the camera and gives it like 4x normal battery life with the extra battery in the stick

@@tylermatthews6130Many thanks for getting back to me with your useful opinion. I’m a bit impetuous, so as soon as JB Hi-Fi opened, I phoned them to make sure one was in stock, and went and got it. Subsequent to commenting to you, I read that the batteries can give up to 155 minutes of usage per charge and this should be well in excess of my normal runs, and the portable charging carrier with two spare batteries should see me through anything longer. It took a while to set it up, but I think I’ve just about got it how I want it. A sunny day will see it tested tomorrow morning. Thanks again. Richard.

Yes, you're able to charge and record at the same time. Battery life is very good out of the box already but yes you can

@@McFilmin Thanks. I am still exploring the new toy but indication so far is that the battery life is rather short, although the screen display is usually on all the time. I doubt if it would go 60 minutes, let alone the promised 155 minutes (even with blank screen and a few things turned off.)

You can use any mic as long as it's a USB C mic. The dji mif uses Bluetooth straight to camera without needing the receiver. 🙂
