I like that the kafka topaz team actually takes heavy advantage of the mechanics of the characters. Currently, both of my MoC teams just rely on raw stats and double support. The big numbers are satisfying, but this kind of synergy makes me excited for how creative team building in this game could get as they introduce new characters/mechanics.

If anyone is interested in using Clara with Topaz you can try out Lynx as a healer. When she heals someone form the destruction path she can make the enemies focus theme more. That should make Clara use her follow up attack more often and possibly make her synergy with Topaz a bit better.

Yes, for the Topaz-Clara team to work you need either Lynx or March. I'm still testing it but freeze march can solo sustain and march/clara/topaz sinergy is insane, with Asta or Silver wolf so that both carries can benefit from the buff/debuff.

Insanely good content. Its a ridiculous amount of work, and that is really appreciated. If I had one thing to suggest, I'd have loved you touch on some of the more obscure options she has as well, and see how they really perfrom compared to the more meta options. Things like Herta, Blade, (possibly even Yanqing), and even the possibility of triple dps comps like Herta, Himeko, Topaz which could theoretically trigger FUAs insanely often in something like the second half. (Maybe not a full rigourous test of every combination 5 times, but more a simple vibe check of the comp you think is best with a single run to see if there is anything there worth exploring further). Also Clara comps couldve probably done a bit better if the sustain slot was filled by Lynx instead of Loucha

For Clara teams, you need to pay attention to enemies action value. Its better to tag POD on the next enemy instead of the boss if you want Numby to consistently advance. You also have to predict their toughness since braking them change their sequence.

How does Topaz-Kafka stack up against a normal DoT Kafka team or Kafka hypercarry? I've been using Topaz-Clara for a bit and it sort of feels like a double sustain comp or (current) mono-qua. It clears 1-2 cycles slower than other comps, but you're so bulky that the team feels universally viable. Even in the later MoC stages, I can bring the team to a fight with no fire/phys weaknesses and still clear reasonably comfortably.

On a side note, I had this dream that there might be a Followup attack set in the future: do you think that set might increase Jing Yuan’s synergy with Topaz? In my dream, it added a lot of Followup attack Damage% to his Lightning Lord, which would scale multiplicatively with Proof of Debt.

My experience is pretty similar in that Kafka comps churns insane amount of damage with Topaz but I don't have the numbers for a pure DoT vs pure FuA comp. I have had a lot of fun running, Himeko, Topaz, Asta, Bronya. Since my Bronya is E4, all I see is Numby.

The takeaway is that all teams are very close to eachother and enemies will decide which one performs the best. Also March makes the monkey in side 1 trivial and shes very fun with Topaz.

Funny enough, Topaz + Kafka is how I cleared MoC 10 in the latest version. Unfortunately we don't yet have any consistent follow-up attacker besides Topaz herself to really ramp up Numby's actions, so Kafka being the only one capable to follow-up on demand makes her the most ideal currently.

i tested a tripple dps and a sustain comp and it destoryed moc10 in auto. Clara, blade, topaz and looucha. Honestly dont need anything else. I did got my topaz to e1s1 so she acts more like a support by increasing crit dmg to all follow ups by 72%. Its insane.

Really good video, spotting the Kafka + Topaz combo is smart. That's about the first thing I tried, and it works especially well in Simulated Universe (not like it's difficult content, but it's the most fun for me personally). A lot of the Elation blessings are straight up busted 2x-3x as much stats as other paths, while Aftertaste damage also relying on character's ATK, which is great in the case of Kafka DoT build especially. The Simulated Universe buffs even push you to a point where it's very viable to take 3 follow-up attackers + 1 sustain, instead of a harmony teammate, but Asta with very strong buffs for both ATK and Speed is always a safe bet too, especially once you get the "follow-up attacks restore skillpoint" blessing, you will basically permanently be on 5 SP (cough, cough, Qingque at max stacks every turn while also using skills on almost everyone? Yes please!)

For teams running Topaz and Clara, I suggest running March 7th or Lynx as they both have a taunting feature to make it more likely for enemies to attack Clara! March 7th has the bonus of a shield, and Lynx has heals + a taunt specifically when healing a destruction path unit.

Yanqing has a follow up attack but you really need Gepard or Fire MC to get the taunt value to prevent Yanqing from getting hit otherwise his follow up won’t activate. Blade has the similar niche as Clara, except he not only needs to be hit, he also needs to be damage by anything like Jingliu, his enhance ATK. It also does AoE like Himeko and JY, but it needs to be hit or damaged 4 - 5 times to get it activated (4 times if you have his E6) Herta needs any enemy with 50% or lower to do the AoE follow up. Qingque at E4 is hard to get it to do the follow up. Its a 24% it will do it but its still impractical with Topaz. Bronya E4 is like Kafka’s follow up. Any character will do a basic ATK causes Bronya to do the follow up. After Bronya’s turn if she used her follow up, it recharges waiting for its next ally do a basic atk. March is like lynx but with follow ups and provides shield instead of heals. If an enemy hits a character with March’s shield then she does a follow up attack. it’s the same idea as Clara, itpf a enemy is the one who hits tha PE character that character does a follow up damage on that enemy.

I haven't managed to finish building it, but the team I'm planning on using for topaz is her, himeko, asta or sw based on fire weak or not, and then fire tb. Something to know about the fire tb is that their ultimate resets the shield from their passive, so saving it for when a shield gets broken can save you some damage. For sim universe, I've been really liking going in with fu xuan, bailu, topaz, and kafka, then swapping bailu and topaz out for asta and guianfen. Notably as mentioned in the video, topaz really struggles in larger fights, so having more aoe dots for kafka counterintuitively tends to make the boss clears easier.

The thing that I am most interested in for Topaz as a support (specifically for Jing Yuan) is Topaz's 1st eidolon giving +50% crit damage to follow up attacks against the target with proof of debt. Im certainly no theorycrafter but Im most interested in looking into a build that has Jing with a natural 141+ speed + Tingyun, E1 Topaz, Loucha. Jing always naturally has 7 stacks of Lightning lord without ult, Tingyun bolsters attack even more, Topaz's Proof of Debt + E1 gives +50% follow up damage + 50% crit damage for Jing. Not to mention if they were to hypothetically make a relic set that gives support for follow-up attacks which would make sense given how many characters utilise FUA without support

Not yet. I haven't gotten Topaz E1 yet. My regular team is JY (with 143 speed), Tingyun, Silver Wolf, Loucha. I'm too casual to grind out great relics for my team but that team can did autobattle 3 stars up to floor 8 last MoC. Im not math-y enough to understand how much Crit damage is too much before it starts to fall off compared to investing in attack again. I recall hearing once that after like 250% crit damage it starts to fall off in favour of atk investment.@@FlameIce87

Topaz Himeko AND Kafka as a trio has been hilariously fun micromanaging Himeko's talent and Numby procs. Nothing is more satisfying than chaining Kafka's follow up break into Himeko's Victory Rush into Numby into another Victory Rush and Numby if you can manage breaks correctly. I thought I was having fun before with just Kafka+Himeko follow up shenanigans pre-Topaz but now its a whole different game.

I understand why Wolf didn't make the dual DPS teams in general but I do think testing her with Himeko would be particularly relevant given your Follow Ups are Break dependent. You're also able to simplify the RNG of Weakness implant by running Fu Xuan or Lynx for sustain. Was also hoping to see Yanqing in the running as he does Follow Up pretty consistently but will obviously only really have an edge in low target counts. Otherwise a F2P team with March 7th would be interesting though I realise the time investment adds up..

I love your Kafka team! I used almost similar team, except that I used E6 Pela, and managed to clear MoC 10 very easily! I actually wanted to use Asta instead of Pela.. but I was thinking that Topaz would need 151 speed to be very good in an Asta team.. I don't quite get why in every showcase with Clara I saw she doesn't have her ult up, and people have to wait for rng to do the job. My Clara has permanent ult due to her built (almost 4K atk, 70/166 crt + phis dmg orb and signature weapon) and super fast e6 Tingyun. She is slow but every counter wipes almost all enemies in one go, so she gets lot of energy for killing, and tingyun helps with the rest. I often have her ult even before counter stacks run out. Topaz and Fuxuan are just chilling for buffs. This team is my favorite, full auto MOC is easy for me now. I start every battle with Clara's ult, so it doesn't matter who gets hit, and Clara refills her ult back just by using enhanced counters :D

I think lynx works better with Clara than loucha as a solo sustainer in bringing more counteratacks by using her technique in Clara and thanks to Topaz not using much skill points it is still fine in the sp consumption too, it makes Clara more reliable in general and only gets better with eidolons in Lynx

100% agree, Lynx's taunt means you get more consistency with Clara's damage and don't have to worry about keeping the rest of the team alive nearly as much due to the incredible funneling power they have when paired. That said, you're basically shackled to a slower Clara build if you want to keep that taunt up without sinking 300 skill points into her, so Grim would have a hard time showcasing this team with his current build.

Would the Kafka team not be better with Asta? 1. She buffs both and 2. Asta's basic attack and break effect are burn applications, ensuring more DoTs on enemies for Kafka to proc and more damage for Kafka no? and 3. You said the aim is for Kafka to be fast as possible... Asta is very good at fast as possible. At the very least an e6 Asta would be better if the enemy had fire weakness as attacking fire weak enemies with basic gives 2 stacks of Asta's buff while applying burn.

Really loving my Energy Regen Rope Slow Clara with Topaz. Slapping Lynx as the healer to redirect aggro so Clara counters more and ulting more to take care of AOE scenarios and always hitting the Proof of Debt enemy. Last slot is flex between Tingyun, Asta, Pela, Guinaifen. The only time I have trouble is facing trotters, who don't attack at all. Haha.

great test, with the roster we have right now, it favour more toward hyper carry setup, we dont have much dps that can function solo (Balde and Jingliu) and focus on fua yet. Topass in a much weirder place vs when Kafka release, she have 4* dot coverate but Topass only have AOE fua and most of them is 5* to begin with

i like to use Topaz as sub dps for Blade with bronya. Bronya advances Blade, so he follow ups twice as fast. Its probably not as optimal but It still works well. Plus I dont have more follow up attackers. Waiting for my e4 qq

I got Topaz on my account with Kafka from A SINGLE MULTIPULL while trying to get Guinaifen... and I got both of them first try damn I was really shocked. But I already know that Kafka is going to be good for Topaz on the follow up case.

I got Himeko shortly before the Topaz banner so I've been messing around a lot with Himeko + Topaz + Asta in MoC and it feels pretty good. In SU I'll swap Asta out for Jing Yuan because supports don't matter so much with blessings. Running three follow up focused DPS with elation is crazy, easily clearing all 8 tiers in Planar Infinity stages with cycles to spare.

The problem I have with Topaz, Bronya, Kafka team is its not very accessible. It seems like using a lot of 5 star carry’s for one team, when I’d rather build a second team around Kafka, or only use Bronya and have a more versatile team setup.

The team I’ve been running is Topaz / Clara / March 7th / Lynx. Have Lynx and March use their skill on Clara and she just goes ham lol. Numby gets forwarded so much 😂

Been having a blast with Topaz, Asta, Himeko and Fu Xuan/Luocha. I'll swap Himeko for Clara in this specific type of setup and I love it I've also done Tingyun, Jing Yuan, Fu Xuan and Topaz in specific comps but the first 2 setups are the ones that let Topaz shine

What about the Preservation characters, Fuxuan and March 7th are both applicable for the team. Although it would extend the cycle (3 or more) Regardless of the best team for Topaz, I'll be sticking with my team (Luocha, March 7th, Clara, and Topaz). As long as everyone's having fun with Topaz, I'm cool with that. This is an awesome video

just an extra character you can put it, try guinaifen instead of pela for fire weak enemies. guinaifen's 3 stack firekiss is just 6% less damage that the dmg boost pela's def shred provides, the main selling point being that guinaifen actually deals damage and can be used sp neutral or positive

Thank you for this. Said from day 1 that Kafka is better than Clara for topaz. Because she can follow up attack basically on command once per turn and she can take advantage of the burn. Also I have to ask, what was your Asta build. Because mine is E6 with S5 PR lightcone and she seems better than what is shown.

i kinda feel like for future testings the trace levels should be similar across characters. Maybe its because of eidolons to even it out but crit based characters I feel scale way harder with trace levels than someone like kafka. still tho, pretty cool to see that kafka team do really well even tho many people were doubting that team

The only character with not at all relevant 8's is Kafka who's ult is 10 and Himeko's small traces. You are right though I should try get all of the characters to 80 and traces unlocked or at 8 if possible.

The time stamp for the Kafka Topaz section in the description is incorrect. It shares the same timestamp with Himeko Topaz. It says 19:34 when it should instead say 20:11 or 20:12

quick note, you mentioned himeko being a cycle behind against true sting saying it's probably investment, i think a more noteworthy thing against true string is the fact that your team can't break outside of luocha which means i assume you had next to no numby advances from himeko at all

It's marginally increasing Clara aggro, but her sustainability falls off so hard. I couldn't use Lynx as Clara's solo sustain on MoC 10 because the enemies hits like a truck, especially at 10-2. Even with her ult is up, she is feels like paper because you don't build def on her. Putting Luocha was better call than using Lynx as solo sustain tbh

Herta is very good to fix Topaz's AoE problems while advancing Numby forward. The synergy is best seen when against the IPC since all of them are Ice weak.

march is clara but worse since you want the shielded character to get hit so you can counter. lower dps than clara and cant solo sustain comfortably means shes not worth running a "best teams" test on.
