I'd like to see a hyperlapse of you doing a long no-breaks roll with fresh opponents coming in after each tap. I'd also like to see you and some of your friends do a 2 on 1. Each of you takes turns being the solo. Longest to last wins a prize.

"Clamp choke" is the Neil Knot, popularized by Neil Melanson. You needed to thread your arm under your own leg on the overhook side to secure their shoulder in place. It's a very nice move if you can break down their posture.
@josephgreenslade7525 Жыл бұрын
The NoGi Ezekiel works just like the buggy. You're not expecting to finish the move, but merely trying to elicit a predictable response. This allows you to be a step ahead and either counter their lipping escape or create space for the Ezekiel and buggy, respectively. Great content, I wasn’t expecting so many of them to work out! I feel like this could be a regular series testing out Instagram techniques!

I actually love the no gi ezekiel. It feels a little bit easier to hit with a punch choke variation to it, but a lot of the time you threaten it, people seem to frame in a way that makes it easy to transition to an arm triangle!

I got a move for ya to try. When you got someone in a triangle and you haven't cut your angle yet then get stacked, take your hooking leg and feed it to the inside of their leg then hip out and extend your leg for a triangle neck crank. Awesome videos my friend! Im a 3 stripe blue belt but don't train or fight anymore after having 3 kids and taking over the family business after my dads heart attack. Maybe after the kids get older ill get back into bjj again. Keep up the great work and keep the content coming!

The bulldog choke doesn't work...until it does. Usually, I hit it when I have a RNC and their getting the hooks out, or I jump on a RNC and switch off from turtle.

Neil knot works just fine, and so does the modified Kimura which I learned from Dean Lister. Same with the RNC variation, just trap your opponents left arm with your left leg first.

Bulldog choke is old school, Carlos Newton pulled it off in the UFC and Mckenzie Dern likes that Omoplata RNC

It looked like your your weight distribution was wrong on the bulldog choke and that's what made it easy for them to escape and roll away. I love that choke, but it's so hard to set up. No one lets you grab their head that deeply. That triangle choke escape was interesting. Never seen that before, but not sure I'll try it
@spasbanchev8922 Жыл бұрын
The clamp choke comes from Williams guard (also called shoulder pin guard), which is a super legit position. The choke itself works alright, but the position is very secure and opponents have to defend. If you haven't used williams guard before I heavily recommend it - it's awesome. Here's a video of a dude explaining the choke from there: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKTbioZnqr1qg8k

I really like the bulldog choke. I normally hit it after hitting a far side crossface from turtle then I get an s grip. Also getting it from a rnc then transitioning to it if you dont have the choke also is cool too.

The banana split is super simple, the video you watched just did it slightly incorrectly. As you sit into the truck wrap around both the thigh and shin rather than just the thigh. Grabbing the shin and thigh ensures the flexible partner won't be able to extend out which is how they would relieve the pressure

I just bulldog choked a blue belt is definitely strength dependent i find the key is to do the bridge a bit more forward if you feel they want to drop to the side like your partner did so basically your intent is to make the back of his head touch his back… is nasty
@mattisbette3932 Жыл бұрын
The move you tried from clamp guard doesn't work from the clamp guard. It comes from the williams guard/shoulder pin guard/london (however you want to call it). But you need to thread your arm around the knee of the leg that is behind their head. Also long arms help to hit this and breaking their posture is important to hit this.

The groin splitter or banana splits is actually great, you just need to grape vine the legs and the pull not just with your arms but with your chest.

@@JoshRichBJJ this position is more like a system than a single sub - you could have a look e.g. at 10p - all subs whose name includes "carni". If you treat the sub you tried as part of that it could be a useful tool.

I wouldnt call bulldog choke "flashy" tbh i used it pretty much since Ive learned it and use it on all belts and skills fairly effectively if you know how to use the technique its just one of those high risk high reward techniques that has better options imo rather than that submission
