Internet investigations seem to point out that these are all made through the jamit factory in China & then labeled according to which company will distribute. So all are basically the same machine , made in same factory ... labeled differently.

I ordered a sentro as well, and got a Mioako printed on the front...but it WORKS SO...🤷🏾‍♀️

I ordered a Sentro yesterday and just looked on Amazon and found mentioning due to the adjustment of brand strategy of Sentro/Santro, they state other than the logo there is no physical difference in the machine.

This is exactly what they told me. It seems to work the same. The one in the video seems better packed than mine was. I did email the company to question it and they gave me a partial refund...but was told the same explanation on the name. I think they should write that in the item description though.

I got the exact same machine, everything the box, looks brand new. I even got it for really really cheap because it was a returned model. Mine is in almost perfect condition so i wouldnt return it. Im guessing they returned it because they didn't like the jamit label?

i ordered one off amazon a couple days ago and have been trying to knit with it but it seems one of the hooks is conpletely different to the others, it looks like a crochet hook and it keep dropping stitches/ just messing up i’m so annoyed and it doesn’t have a stitch counter like the whole thing just doesn’t work properly bc of the one weird hook

I got the same thing. The comments on amazon said some of the boxes may say Santro. I still use it. But I’m waiting for my Addi machine to arrive.

The same company makes the machine for lots of distributors with several names on them. I am concerned that I don’t see a starter hook. When you turn it is it counting rows??

I just received mine today. I had to check real quick if mine was like yours but it’s not. I hope you reported this issue to Amazon because you paid for a Sentro not a Santro!

The one I got actually says Sentro but I'm pretty sure all the machines this color are the same, they just slap different names on it. Mine can't with the same type of yarn but different instructions. 😂

I haven’t even had mine for a week and the counter stopped.. well it skips and jumps and try’s to play catch-up. It’s about 5-10 stitches off.

I bought mine almost two years ago, haven’t done much with it but planning on making a cardigan and see how it goes, I already did one for my one year old grandson on the 22 needle addi knitting machine, the front and back of the cardigan was knitted on the addi and the rest on knitting looms.

I think the machine is just a generic machine and Sentro with the name that popularized the machine that anyone can buy it and relabel it to their own company so essentially it is the same machine. It's like we called facial tissues Kleenex even though not every brand is Kleenex.

I ordered a sentro and I got a purple one named ZCVTBYE I had to returned the first one It kept dropping stickers and the same with the replaced I bit the bullet and bought the Addi...I think they have different companies make them for sentro if you actually get the sentro it maybe alright and work the way it's supposed to.... Unfortunately that was not the case in my endeavors! Good luck to those who order these hopefully you get one that works!

they sent me a used/returned one - it did not look like yours when i opened the one i got and then returned - broken handle, yarn was used and rerolled (one skein still in the label but the rest just rolled up - there was a second label but not around the yarn), legs had been assembled before, did not have all the needles - i was not happy ----if you get one that resembles around the end of nov then you might have gotten the same one i returned

Ya they sent me one that had been used it was cracked in two places underneath, the handle was hanging off and one of the legs had pink felt tip pen lines on it. So disappointed I really want one but have been put off getting another as don't want same problem again. They did refund me just have to wait five days for it to clear. I keep popping on to look at others but very unsure of them now so haven't ordered another one.

Many people don’t realize that now Amazon is just a store front with many vendors selling their items. A vendor either has Amazon stock and ship their items or they ship it themselves. A seller can be someone on the other side of the world. Unless the description actually says that the item sold and shipped by Amazon it could be anyone. This is why there is a lot of price gouging since now anyone can sell under the Amazon umbrella. Walmart is the same. For this reason I always check who is the actual seller AND shipper before buying anything on Amazon. I would have returned that item since it could’ve been a seller sending a knock off - Amazon would have accepted the return with no problems.

I got one not so long ago, all these 'knock offs' come from Hong Kong. Mine came without a tension gauge, when I complained they asked me to send a photo of the problem!!! Bit difficult if it isn't there 😅 any way I use my hand for tension and it knits up well. I can't be bothered going through loops and a lot of grief for a bit of plastic. I bought it as I have never used a machine before and wasnt going to buy an addi first go. Once this one gives up.... I just might upgrade 🤗

I’m looking for a Senteo knitting machine for my niece and realized something fishy… One sentro marked for $78 and the other for $57. The lower priced one has no reviews, and lists brand name as a series of random #s. But has picture of senteo machine. Might decide to just pay more for the one that looks legit. I’m glad I researched this more, had a weird feeling.

I don't know what the name of the machine means, but it looks like CENTRO in Spanish; So I'm sure that when it gets home my family will comment on why SENTRO with S and not with C, if it is a typographical error or if it is fake.

Technically if it doesn't have a "brand" name on it, is just an unbranded model of the product. I have the exact same machine, but it's branded as Jamit. I wonder if Addi would ever have an "unbranded" model of their matchine. Santro, Jamit, Sentro, and others are all the same machine.

Mine is the same way although it was in a Sentro box. Mine even has the same cheap yarn. I was concerned at first but it works well .I just thought someone in China didn’t know how to spell. Check the crank, if it seems to turn easily then keep it.

the brand doesnt really matter because they're all knock-offs . What really matters is that it functions right or good enough to get a few 100 knits MINIMUM , Id also advice to not use the tension catch but instead stick to hand work . When you find the right grip to apply tension with a steady cranking speed , it moves smooth as butter and you get things done faster . If not it can jam for absolutely no good reason and cause minor gear damage that builds up over time leading to a damaged machine with no replaceable parts that amazon wont always take back .

I get a lot of knockoffs from Amazon. Way more recently than all the years in the past. So much so that I canceled my Prime membership and don't even order much from them anymore., because a lot of it turned out to be real junk. That being said, I ordered a Sentro 22 needle from Modern Indigo, and nowhere on the machine or on the box does it say Sentro, so who knows? It's for my granddaughter and it works, so I just chalk it up to another experience.

i paid $7 more to get one from the USA, its worth it to not have something shipped from another country and risk damage or fakes. be sure to write your amazon review on the seller and product. you can report the "fake machine" on the description page for that seller since they are not selling you what is pictured and there probably was not a disclaimer. ya, it's probably just the name but..... you should get what you pay for.

I got the same machine...it is a generic brand called YagoDago 40 Needles. And I got mine also from Amazon. Knitting Machine, Knitting Loom Kits, YagoDago 40 Needles Knitting Rotating Double Knit Machines with 3 Balls of Yarn and 8 Pompom Maker, Weaving Loom Kit for Adults So no it's NOT Sentro Brand...

There's a ton of chinese clones, its random if the quality is there. Ghey dont care. It'll be under a different brand the day it stops making money. Yours is identical to mine. Its PICKY. GO SLOW AND EXPECT ANG GIVEN STITCH TO DROP. It works well with red heart in America bit will drop three rows after color changes or earlier. I've done some 4th Doctor scarves on mine and if it fails its always within 4 rows of a slack.

I just received my machine from Amazon. It had the same spelling but it works fine , the counter does stick now and then but you can just use a tape measure. For £24.99 I think it’s good value, I make hats and scarves for the homeless and this is a quick way to get them made.
