I mean, yeah, 10,000 hours on GTA because he was a speedrunning KZbinr, and it was his job. Imagine putting 10,000 hours into your job. DarkViperAU started speedrunning GTA in 2019, so 10,000 hours is not that much. Considering that if you work at your job for five years, assuming it's a five-day-a-week, eight-hour shift, you would have worked 10,000 hours.

While trying to silence criticism is almost certainly a big part of why DarkViper is copyright striking people's videos and channels,I believe there's another reason that's equally important to him. I believe it stems from DarkViper being quite possibly the most self-absorbed, narcissistic person on the internet. I know that's a bold claim, but if anyone disagrees, please let me know who you think is worse. Well anyways, I believe a lot of people don't realize the implications of what DV says when he makes his arguments about fair use, specifically the part about people reacting to his videos. I think DV is so delusionally self-absorbed that when someone like Ethan Klein or WillyMac gets millions of views on a video/livestream talking about him, he actually thinks that if they didn't react to his content, he would get those millions of views on his video. There might be a handful of viewers for whom that's true, but that is a fraction of a percent, at best. For an overwhelmingy large amount of us, there's no way we would be watching any of his videos. I know it sounds crazy, but DV really does seem to believe that.

Why are you acting like DV is some nobody? He’s got well over a million subs and has been a figure of the speed running community for close to a decade, if not longer. I think it’s reasonable to assume based on how well his bigger videos tend to do, that if less people reacted to those videos, they’d have higher viewership numbers. I don’t think that’s an insane belief to hold tbh.

DarkViper doesn't strike at all criticism. He strikes at videos that show his full videos. You could criticize DarkViper; he might respond with a video. But if you don't replay his full video and upload it with your face in the corner, you're safe. I'm tired of people making that claim; it's untrue. That's why Chud's video got claimed, not because of the criticism. One video of DarkViper's react series will tell you that.

And yes I do think dsrkviper will get millions of views. He's one of the big gta youtubers that don't do role play. I however think the people who mightve watched his video. But instead watched a reaction on it would no longer watch his video since they would of already seen the video. Because of the reaction.

I've been trying to tell guys like Chud Logic and others in the commentary community that bothering to interact with or react to anything DarkViper is a futile waste of time. That's kinda the best case scenario, with the worst case being getting a bogus copyright strike headache. Tommy seems to have learned that lesson very quickly, so that's nice to see. Every time I see these other guys address DarkViper's latest insanity, I hope they will realize how pointless it is, and that it will be the last time. It never is, of course, but I maintain hope nonetheless.

God damn 10k hours? My friend has years of in game time in WoW from playing it several hours a week since 2010 but something sounds more sad about GTA online.

It does sound hella extreme but it’s less than 3 hours a day over 10 years of gta being out which is still a ton but not an unrealistic amount

its not 10k hours of GTA Online, for years he was a pretty good speed runner of GTA V. the story, different categories including 100% which those runs took like nearly 10 hours or more i believe, all the practice he would do to get better, all the challenge runs he did such as pacifist% where he just tries to beat as much of the game as possible without killing people unless absolutely necessary. he does do GTA Online a bit too over the past couple years, but like 90% of it was just from the story mode.
