My son has one of these, he had a magazine that fit super tight and did not work on his. I do not recall which magazine it was, but it was not the one included with the gun. He has since picked up another brand of magazine and it runs flawlessly. He does not have his suppressed, so I am pretty sure it is that magazine, cause his was doing the exact same thing unsuppressed. He is coming over to grill burgers today, I will check with him and see which magazine it was that gave him grief, and what he ended up getting that worked.👍 When you get it running, that thing shoots so friggin soft, it is like shooting a 22lr compared to my 9mm PCC's.👊

@@CarolinaEDCreviews it malfunctioned every other round or so the first range trip. I went back next day and it ran perfectly. So I really don't know. Maybe 250 or so.

I'd say to expect fairly regular failures for the first 100-200 rounds. It should smooth out rather quickly after that. In my experience it's been perfect once I passed about 400 rounds. You can run 115 after the break in, but start off with NATO loads and stock parts. I thought it was BS at first, but it really does get better after about 400-600 rounds. I have maybe 1 failure every 3rd or 4th range trip now, or approximately every 500 rounds.
@CarolinaEDCreviews2 ай бұрын
So run it without suppressed with regular 115 gr ammo ?
@dark2023-1lovesoni2 ай бұрын
@@CarolinaEDCreviews Unsuppressed, original locking piece, original trigger pack, etc... w/ 124gr NATO or +P, for basically 7-10 mags worth or about 200-300 rounds. Winchester offers an inexpensive bulk 124 NATO option that comes in 200 round boxes marked "USA Valor". That's what I used, but that specific ammo is awfully dirty and leaves yellow bits of unburned powder everywhere, so cleaning was a must afterward.

Not the K but Mine had issues with the older KCI mags. Didn't have to change block on my ap5 to run suppressed. But I ran 500+rounds on mags and was good
@CarolinaEDCreviews2 ай бұрын
@@Anubis_Outdoors yeah the standard MP5 don’t have much issues, just the K version and others you have to change the locking block

Make sure you've ran 500 rounds of 124gr. It's a lot but that's their breaking in period. That still may not resolve the issues though
@dark2023-1lovesoni2 ай бұрын
@@TNTactical I honestly thought the break in period thing was total BS. But I did it anyway. I had probably at least a failure per mag for the first 150. Then a failure every few. I was extremely annoyed and unimpressed. However, after about 400 rounds it got pretty reliable, experiencing only 1 failure per range visit. I'm now at over 800 rounds of 124 NATO and a few hundred 115 standard loads. I've had only 2 failures to eject in the last 6 or 7 range trips. The break-in period is absolutely a real thing with these. Also, make sure to check bolt gap.
