The body is still an uncertain factor if it will hold up. Also should be able to put away players like De Minaur who beat him when De Minaur was coming back from injury recently.

This is a good tennis channel. The host really goes into detail. The US OPEN loss to Sinner is understandable Jack got nervous and vomited. He will learn from that experience he just needs play big matches and hopefully nerves calm down a bit. The host points out a lot of stuff like Draper improving his serve, backhand. I hope Jack can stay fit that's his main issue for him. I disagree about Jack movement I think he actually moves well for a man 6 foot 4. At the US OPEN Jack movement impressed me a lot. I think his issue is the fitness. I hear he has a hip problem and that's a concern. I don't understand why Jack doesn't train in hotter climates to acclimate himself to the heat? Training in the UK in northern Europe makes no sense. Even Andy Murray trained in hotter climates.

Could you make a video about Shelton again? He makes pretty good results at slams (especially the 2023 us open) and I want to know if you think he could ever win a slam? Be the top American? Beat Fritz to the 1st Slam for Americans? Make it into the top 5-10? Or even possibly number 1? He has so much potential especially with his serve. I want to know what you think.

I don’t think that Shelton could be a top 5 player. I just don’t see enough tools or extended shot quality in anything but the serve, and even the serve isn’t quite as consistent as I had hoped. He hasn’t had any major tournament wins since his US open in 2023, and since then he’s been struggling to go deep in any big tournaments. If I’m remembering any of this incorrectly please correct me, and I hope he can rise to the top ranks, but right now I don’t see it happening

@ he made some pretty good runs in some tournaments at the end of the year. I don’t think 2025 is his year to win a slam but he’s only 22 and hopefully by the us open he’s worked on some of the weaker parts of his game, like the consistency in the serve.

By far the worst part of Shelton's game is return which is god awful and showed no signs of improving in 2024. He's still at the bottom of the Top 50 on return stats, just like in previous years. There is no way he can be a Top 10 player with that. Return is the hardest thing to improve in tennis and most (90%) never do make an improvement from 20 y o level.

He might be a great player but unfortunately, when I hear his name the first thing that comes to mind was that decisive point against Felix Auger-Aliassim... The same way when I hear David Nalbandian I remember him kicking the line judge... The fact that he was the only player to ever win Federer, Djockovic and Nadal in the same tournament (Madrid 2007) comes in second.

The situation against Felix - Draper was put in an in a very difficult position by the umpire who should have allowed the point to be replayed (and indeed this is what Draper wanted). Also I have read elsewhere that Felix has a habit of being quick to accuse others of wrong doing (Draper is not the first victim).

@@missrockafella9432 mate I honestly love Draper but that situation wasn’t Felix’s fault at all. He knew, and decided to not be fair. Good thing from this is that he learnt an INCREDIBLY valuable lesson in sportsmanship, and I have no doubt he’ll be a much more honest player in the future.

There is a lot you can criticise the British press for...but talking negatively about American players out of "jealousy" is not one of them. Link me an article that shows this. And can you blame the British press for hyping up Emma and Jack? Is that not what every country does for their players? All countries do this -- and some much more than Great Britain (I'm thinking of France, the US and pretty much all of South America). What does Britain have to be jealous or desperate about? We have a strong and historic history of tennis in this country and it is where the game developed. We don't need to be jealous of anybody, and it is not the British way, either. Seems like you're the jealous one. Perhaps because Jack has more of a chance to win a Slam than the American no. 1 Fritz?

Bro. US hasn't won a slam since 2003 with Roddick. Why would Britain be jealous. Yes the US have a number of strong players in the top 20, but other than maybe Fritz (maybe) i don't see any of them winning a slam. They simply aren't young or strong enough to rival Sinner and Alcaraz. While yes, I think Draper has a little way to go before he poses a real threat, he has potential.
