As a Porsche collector I did myself a favor and got the MiniGT Rexy and pre-ordered the Roxy for pretty decent prices. Not going to stress over trying to find them on the pegs because I know it is a lost cause. If I find them, great. If I don't, I'm at peace with it. Will definitely grab the BMW and Bentley though as I am guessing they will be easy to find.. Anyways, great video sir. Cheers!

I do like the Rexy and Roxy money trick. I know Hotwheels said they probably won't do a different color from black again. So Roxy will probably hold value for a long time. But yep! Probably not going to ever see Roxy in real life😢

The Volvo was also in a Canyon set in Orange with a black chase. As for the Race Day it’s obvious this set was strictly a cash crab by Mattel to get the inflated valued pink Porsche on the market. The rest of the set seems like an afterthought. And am I the only one who is underwhelmed by the whole Rexy/Roxy?! Sure it’s a cool casting but it’s being blown WAY out of proportion by the hype surrounding a pink chase, IMO. 🤷🏻‍♂️

There's the official/unofficial one from this year, the E gen 3 in the mainline. On the back it talks about returning to F1. I bought two cases hoping to get the Roxy. Only got Rexy with two of them scratced cards. And all of the gt4 had scuffs and debris. One bmw had paint chip. Hot Wheels can be great or terrible. I won't try anymore for chase and ended up getting mini gt Rexy and Roxy. Rexy arriving today and Roxy is pre-order 😊 Thanks for the vids 🤙

The Bimmer is a 70s car and the rest are current and very recent cars. The bimmer livery is Jagermeister colors. The Nissan and Bentley are too plain as you mentioned. Getting sponsor logos is difficult in obtaing licensing agreements. The Porsche is the nicest by far. No chance in finding it in Montreal surely.

I don’t get how you can be upset that Mattel made an awesome, highly desirable chase. Yes, it will be scalped and hoarded, but so is every other chase car. Your chance of finding this on the pegs are just as low as every other chase car. I personally think it’s awesome, and even tho I will probably never find it or pay the money to buy it online, the same goes for every other chase car too.

Except the fact that this chase will go for over 300 dollars instead of the normal 100 for the black versions. Then on top of that the normal black versions are of a car already in the set so if you don't want it no big deal, but a rexy and a Roxy completes the 2 giving you no choice but to find the chase. That is what makes me upset is that a little clearer for you.

@mtldiecastcafe the price of the chase doesn’t matter if you aren’t going to buy it aftermarket. They are all just 7$ cars. If you feel the need to pay more to collect every chase or something that’s fine, but don’t complain about the price because it’s that mentality that drives up the prices so high to begin with. I get what you’re saying about it being a “different car” rexy vs roxy, but in terms of the hotwheels itself, the only differences is the color and the name in the packaging. Rexy vs roxy irl have a ton of differences and distinctions that the hotwheels did not do, they only turned it pink. It’s a recolor, but just cutely renamed, version of the exact same car, just like all the other chases. If you want a real Roxy diecast car, minigt and a few other brands are making them I’m pretty sure, and they will have the actual Roxy specific livery and not just the recolor. If you want to have it because you want to have every hotwheels, or every chase, that’s totally fine, I’m not going to tell you how to collect. I just think it’s silly to have that mentality and complain about prices when that mentality is what makes scalping so profitable and consistent, and why it’s such a big problem for the hobby.

We haven’t seen the past 2 of the last 3 blvd sets in Walmart nor the last 2 Target exclusive 2 packs. I am done with these awful fake complicit retailers. I have luckily found 2 reputable US hobby dealers that are able to get both via international distributors at either US retail or slightly higher and surely way less than the eBay scalping creeps. Please note I say all this stuff but I’m not angry nor a victim. I found other better means to obtain cars and I just tell it like it is. Trust me the hobby has been bad for the entire 45 years I have collected but it most certainly has gotten far worse. My biggest advice to collectors is find other sources. Don’t fall for the crap.
