It's even better knowing the fact that people used to do that ALL the time in the 60s-70s, the roads used to be absolutely littered. It was only then that the "no littering" and "fine for littering" law was introduced

She knows Estella has a unique taste in fashion, so to make sure the designs are the best, she cares enough to see what Estella brings to the table. Others designers? I don't think she'd care
@danielleking262

She asked because she doesn't have her own ideas anymore and knows Estella still has vision to make the best versions of the same design. Basically, a professional asking an up-and-comer what they think, then realizing the new person's suggestion was right.
@simpletrashtryingitsbest5019
@simpletrashtryingitsbest5019 3 ай бұрын
I doubt it was due to care. She asked to exhaust all options and if estella gave her something worthwhile, it would be used with her credit attached rather than estella. She routinely stole from great designers who worked for her and labeled them as hers. She didn't even know she had any relation to estella either, she saw someone who had great talents, and saw a chance to see what those talents were to claim as hers. So I guess you are correct, it showed she cared, just about herself

@LaughableSynonyms perhaps the same level of care that Steve Jobs felt for Xerox. People like the Baroness don't tend to view other people as equal or even people at all. Her "care" for Estella on shined when Estella was giving her ideas or when Estella was mimicking the Baronesses attitude and style which, given the Baroness is an extreme narcissist, would result in the Baroness feeling some form of affection, but only because she views estella as an extension of herself at times.

I had a boss like that once. Brilliant woman and painfully aware of it. In her eyes nobody was as good as she was. And for 95% it was absolutely true. But if someone did something she couldn’t or just didn’t think of she had a hard time giving compliments. And we worked really hard to get these moments. She was a horrible woman and we all lived in fear, but I think in the end she made everyone that worked for her better in what we did.

Can someone explain the fashion jargon they were saying... Whats a "lining" and "tule"???
@alicewilson5303
@alicewilson5303 3 ай бұрын
Lining is the inside of the outfit, like a different fabric either used for comfort or a fashion design. And tulle is a mesh like fabric really good for puffing up outfits, tutus are made with tulle as they hold shape well.
@grapesarethebestfruit3839
@grapesarethebestfruit3839 3 ай бұрын
A "lining" is a second layer of cloth under the outer layer thats joined together and serves to protect the outer cloth from sweat and to minimize scratching or chaffing on the skin from the outer fabric which is usually quite stiff or itchy A "tulle" is a very fine mesh material that looks a little like fishnet fabric but with smaller holes and its usually used to stuff the underside of clothes like gowns and skirts
@luna_cas7
@luna_cas7 3 ай бұрын
😂😂Yes, lining is an inner layer of fabric like fur or silk that provides a cleaner finish it can also add insulation or define the shape of the dress and tulle is a type of fabric it can be used as lining but it's like a netting type thing that's mainly used for veils or wedding dresses
@luna_cas7

And the bodice is referred to the top part of the dress like the shirt part that is around the upper body and tightening it means to give the body more shape
@memes-me3mz
@memes-me3mz 3 ай бұрын
Tule is a mesh kinda fabric that adds volume and structure to a item of clothing. Think ballerina tutu. Interfacing add structure within an item of clothing. It's what makes collars stiff on a nice button down. A lining is an inner layer of fabric that lines the inside of a jacket skirt or dress usually the fabric is different from the outside fabric. Seams are anywhere fabric is sewn to join other peices to make a piece of clothing. Stay stiches are temporary seams that are later removed to help fabric "stay where you sew". Honestly if your interested, learning about fabric choices and the differences in what makes something quality clothing can help make your choices in what you choose to wear. Helps so that you find items of clothing that won't fall apart after a few washes! Look for 2 lines of stitches on seams especially necklines pockets. Anywhere constant pulling will be. Look for metal zippers not plastic. I am a self taught seamstress.

I once worked for a super wealthy casino executive and he would always throw his trash in his car out the window while we were driving. I never once questioned him because he’s the man who pays for my livelihood, until one day I got fed up and asked why. He told me that no matter how we humans try to fix the world, we can’t do anything about what’s inevitable. I asked him what the inevitable was, and then he told me, “Littering now won’t make a difference in the future because by the time it matters, we will all be living on Mars. Earth will just be a place of legend that our descendants will read about to spark imagination.”

The Baroness is Ruthless and Cold. However I admire that she is clearly someone who appreciates Talent amd gives others an Opportunity for Growth as long as they work for her and remain submissive. Like she chose 'Estella' for her Talent alone despite her just working as a Janitor with no formal fashion education.

That was, in deed, what she said! I’m not saying she’s a saint, but a lot of people want to demonize her when she’s clearly the authority figure, she clearly has more experience, and is clearly paying people for their designs to be under her name and label.
