In my opinion mighty Pokemon carried the event/safari balls. The spawns were trash and I did some Gmax battles even tho I really am not a fan of those either because outside of the battle they are useless and don’t even stay gmax in your inventory. I didn’t even try to do eggs because of the low rates I was hundo hunting dialgia so much which I stilll don’t have after 646 raids. And if we’re being honest we all know toxel will one day have a hatch day or be in the wild like pawnyard and other pokemon are that were egg exclusive. This event wasn’t better then go fest at all but was better then a regular event you’d have on a normal week.

As for the last point about toxel, it may get a hat h day but the odds of it appearing in the wild doesn't have a basis in go, toxel is a baby pokemon like Riolu and pichu

It felt good playing this event because we had a big group, and when a mighty would spawn everyone would run to it just like when the game came out. Even came out of the event with two shundos so I can’t complain. Didn’t do as good as go fest with shinies, but the shundos came through which were dragonite and kyogre!!

As a F2P solo player the event was fine I guess, mighty Pokémon were cool and I hope they bring them back, and it was nice to get a chance to get the final bit of Primal Groudon energy that I needed. Otherwise though it just felt like a launch event for Dmax Toxtricity, but with most of the potential spots for decent Dmax raids occupied by useless Gmax raids.

I live in NYC and literally everywhere I turned, there were at least 5 other people playing. Some groups had like 50 people at a time! Even Go fest 2023&2024 (In the city) weren't like this and people travelled to New York FOR that event.

I live in a nearby suburb, whenever there is an event I want to play I head into NYC. It’s the best place to play. I caught like 30 hundos this past weekend. It was such a good event. I was in a group of like 30 people going from hundo to hundo, doing raids and max battles along the way.

Yes the theory that certain spots do spawn more Gallarian birds is correct. I have a spot near my house where 7 out of 10 times I have spotted a bird. This spot does not have any gym or pokestops nearby, whereas a park which has many gyms and pokestops has never spawned any bird for me.

I didn't go crazy hard but I had an excellent time with this event. Boston had over 600 people at the Saturday meetup at the Common despite pouring rain and 40 mile per hour winds! And on Sunday in Cambridge we had at least 100-150 going around to g-max battles for a few hours. Mighty pokemon were really fun to find, and the infinite remote raids meant there was a truly global component to it, too, as I joined raids with distant friends on 5 different continents, I had low expectations and came out very pleasantly surprised with how much fun it was. Like ACTUALLY playing the game was what was fun about it, not just the "results."

My opinions on the event were “it’s only good if you are paying”. I didn’t buy the ticket originally because I thought I wouldn’t have the time to play (I didn’t on Saturday, but spent a lot of Sunday playing). It was so raid-centric, and powerspot-centric. Raids were easy to do because I could invite anyone to join, but as for D/G-Max, they were impossible to solo. My community weren’t very interested in the event, those who were went to London instead. Mighty Pokémon were extremely fun as a concept though, and I would like to see them on routes with a similar catch rate to the birds on daily incense.

I agree completely that the Safari Balls and the Mighty Pokémon made this event awesome. I dislike that the safari balls can't be sent to home, despite there being a Safari ball in the main series since Generation 1, but I digress. I caught 3 bad IV Zapdos and lost a probably good IV Moltres, but this was a really good time to try for a Galarian Legendary Bird. Also got several shinies I wanted, two hundo Mighty Pokemon and a ton of other cool stuff. I too wasn't expecting much from this event, but it was really fun.

I didn't bother buying a ticket for this event as I was in an area with low signal and didn't want to risk being unable to play, but I did get in for a little bit using ultra balls and managed to catch myself a beefy Dragonite & a couple other big Pokémon that I only have a couple of such Tyrantrum & Mamoswine! This event seems really fun & challenging without the pass, which was a relief! It was a shame losing out on a couple cool 'mons because I didn't have access to more than two safari balls though, and I imagine there'll be a lot of people complaining about that! Overall this event seemed awesome and I hope they come around more often!

I think the spot thing is real. I've found birds three times at the same spot. I don't go there often because it's in a quiet residential neighborhood, and I think the people would think it's odd if I just wandered up and down the street in front of their houses, but when I'm in that part of the city I'll drop my incense and just slowly drive down that street just in case.

It was a fun event, but really smaller scale than GO Fest. The ticket wasnt worth it, because the shiny rates weren't that great. I mean mighty pokemon are fun, but regular spawns were boring and all the raids (except for Toxtricity), had been featured heavily before. More like a catch-up event for those who missed the February FEST.
