Beautiful Location, Race, Videos and EFFORT! SUPER happy for you guys. And YES, some of us never get a 2nd chance. Some of us, at 50 years old, fight leukemia daily and still keep fighting for every pedal stroke, knowing the whole time that I'll never race again. So SYD, BE THAT 2nd CHANCE FOR ALL OF US!!! LOVE 2 U 2!!!

Macky, you're an absolute machine. (Right after Carter 😆) And Syd, Emanuela said it, "you're my hero" - such resolve and hard work we all can aspire to. Honored to be able to follow along, ride along, and hopefully convey how much you two inspire me, and likely most everyone who watches on the reg, to be more awesome. Keep on killing it you two.
@mwinburn2002 жыл бұрын
100% this. Syd and Macky gave me the inspiration to push through the struggle of getting into shape as there is no way it would be as hard as what Syd went through with the crash. Now I've officially lost 60lbs today since February and built my MTB skills up to the point where racing is on the horizon. I've found an awesome local group to help keep me pushing and give me encouragement. Between them and Syd and Macky, I've become a better me in so many ways. Keep up the good work Syd, Macky, pho3nixmatt, and all you other awesome viewers! ❤

SYD your emotion on the last climb was beautiful. I'm a few months past a spinal fusion at L3-4-5 as well as a fully plated neck. I LIVE for the day I can ride two days in a row much less RACE for 6.......You're a legend - thank you for being so inspirational - both of you. And thank you both for consistently posting awesome videos and not covering them in loud music. Hearing the gear changes, the tire hum, and y'alls breathing is a continual reminder of how hard our sport is. WELL DONE to you both.....

Syd, sometimes, with some injuries, we lose ourselves. Just for a while, if we are lucky. I’ve been following your story for awhile now and can only thank you for the courage to let us share your journey. I recognize so much of what you seemed to be going through, and I can’t put in words how happy I am for you and for how far you have come. I’m also really touched that you recognize that not all of us can find our way back.

You're both absolute heroes! It's inceribly inspiring to watch Syd go and race for 6 days straight at such a high level, reaching her limits and still pushing on. Macky, you beast! I can only imagine Carter must be a M A C H I N E, because the way you're riding is incredible even on gopro, which we all know makes every ride look about 10% as brutal as it is, so he really must be a superhuman of some kind. Thank you guys for sharing, it's always a pleasure to come along

Don't be surprised if the emotions continue to show up at totally unexpected times. You're right, not everyone gets a second chance. I completely agree, and get it. A bit over three years ago I was hit from behind by a car, major list of injuries including broken femur (which after almost healing, a year later turned into a full hip replacement, at 46 yo). It happened at a new height of my adult cycling fitness, took the next year to get going again. I'm just now getting fitness to beyond where I was three years ago, but the mental side comes and goes. I continue to have the emotions hit me when I least expect it, but I am working to embrace that as much as I can.

Syd, you've always had the capacity for some great quips but they really came out in this vid - "actual footage of the climb yesterday", "That's a really big butt hole" And then... exposing your emotions to us like that. You are everyone's hero. What a trip you've both taken us on. The stories, the footage, the editing, the music, the personalities. This is why this is the best MTB channel. Thank you for doing this.

"It helps me to think that I am, and racing is so mental, who cares what's true?
