I paint my cars, it is not easy and you have good equipment there. Imagine if you tried to do it at home! :-) I do custom paint jobs worth over ten thousand dollars minimum. Now you can understand how much work it is and why we have to charge so much just to make a living. Materials are not cheap either. You probably used about a thousand dollars in materials at a retail price. This is my hobby I am retired now and just enjoy painting something it is like a piece of art to me. I make them look amazing and get thumbs up when driving the cars I have completed. I only do my own cars and trucks now. But that is what really makes me feel good. The recognition for all the hard work! Good you got a chance to be involved to really understand it is not easy work. YUo9u had it really easy there with all the best tools. Many have to sand a lot by hand and do a lot more to achieve the same results. Great video! Thanks for sharing! Take care and God bless you all!

Like you Rich, I WILL NEVER PAINT A CAR... I hate painting...in general... That said, I just got my Jeep Yj back from the paint shop... It took 3.5 weeks for him to get it done and the whole jeep wasn't painted, maybe about 60% of it. One because there was a lot of prep work, and two, he was down an employee or two due to COVID related issues... I'll tell you one thing though... It looks so badass!!!!
