Same. People think Tesla's mission is to save the world, it's not. They're a cut throat company that is only out for profit and does things no traditional automaker could get away with.
@CockatooDude4 жыл бұрын
@@xeigen2 They are definitely a business in it for profit, but not quite to the extent a lot of people would think. Tesla would not have transitioned into the Model 3 program as early as they did or by default enabled free supercharging on the Model S if they were only in it for the money. The model 3 was such a huge step for the company that it nearly bankrupted them, and the Model S would have sold just as well without free supercharging as standard. Not to mention that a lot of the grid scale battery installations which Tesla does are at quite a lot price compared to other in the industry. As a matter of fact, going all in on electric cars when Tesla did was not a recipe for huge money, back in 2008 when the Roadster came out there was zero market for EVs, if all Elon cared about was money, he'd have been working on building out enterprise cloud storage software or developing algorithmic trading software using early machine learning, maybe even just traditional investing, but not electric vehicles. In 2008 that was something that no experienced businessperson would have recommended. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Tesla or Elon is perfect, but I also wouldn't put them on the same level as like Viacom or Purdue Pharma or something.

paige hunt yeah but shoddy and dangerous repairs can happen with any car, but you don’t see manufacturers blocking access to gas stations. Sounds like even missing a battery you got some good information on what to do to hack in auto pilot on non equipped cars and you have a guy in house who knows exactly how to use it. A complete factory almost plug in harness completely labeled is really something. We used to be able to do similar converting early Mopars to factory electronic ignition because it was a option on 72 big block cars but they weren't ready to completely redo the harnesses to take it so they made a simple plug in adapter harness to the original points setup. Sorta hard to find but if you had one screw the electronics to the fender and swap in a electronic distributor and after that the wiring was plug and play, it saved hours hacking up the harness to make it work. I did one in half an hour because I had all the parts once. Too bad you didn't get a battery but sounds like you accidentally did fine.

Look into OpenPilot. Works as well if not better than AP1. Once you have radar installed. You can even get AP visuals.
