Get a can of aerosol drywall texture spay and a piece cardboard and figure out the texture pattern that matches what you have

My house in Florida had to have all new plumbing put in and it is in the attic. So I hired my neighbor since he was a plumber. And he put over 50 holes in the walls and ceilings. Then came my job to put new drywall in and in some areas was a pain in the you know what.

Nice job on the drywall Steve! If I were you I’d lightly sand off the texture on the wall so the new drywall will blend in when painted!

I have the 100++++ year old farm house with the wonderful studs that are not the same dimensions of new 2x4's. Good decision on replacing the old blown in stuff with new insulation. The elephant is getting smaller video by video. One bite at a time.

STEVE, doing really good! Can't see the 'finish' you have on the inside walls , but if it looks like plaster with a swirl finish as I have, you can mix joint compound with some play sand and coat the wall with a trowel and finish using a concrete brush. You might have to blend it from the window trim all the way to the door! Yikes! Can you say.... Change in plans! Lol

something to think about,but you might want to take that old shiplap off the house on the garage side reinsulate and put 5/8" drywall on it give yourself a one hour firewall.

With all the contractors you work with you should be able to get a recommendation of a drywall finisher to match the interior wall pretty cheap ! Keep up the good work on that addition! And a big merry Christmas to you and your family !!
