Elvis Presley recorded this song in 1962. Terry Stafford did a version of it later in 1964 & a lot of people thought he sounded like Elvis. "Suspicion" was Terry Stafford's biggest hit but he also had a hit with "Amarillo By Morning" in 1973.

Nope, another wrong claim - Terry recorded his version earlier, it just never got published, before 1964 I like Elvis, but this was common at his time, to take songs that were just new and recorded by others, to record it himself - no wonder a lot of peole call him the biggest thief in music history.

Terry Stafford’s version was a huge hit, and the only version I remember from childhood. I always thought Elvis had sung this, the same as so many others had thought. Honestly, I had never heard of Terry Stafford so at 3 AM, I looked him up. There is so little information about him on Wikipedia, and he died at such a young age, that he seems to be a mystery man. “Suspicion” itself had everything great in Stafford’s version. IMO it’s much better than Elvis’s. The use of the women background singers, and the Ondioline, a music synthesizer that I definitely never heard of, gave the song a haunting, bewildered sound that was lacking in Elvis’s version. It’s all about emotion, too, and mystery man Stafford sang them all.

Terry Stafford wrote this song, as many of us know, and sang the song as written in his mind! Beyond that he wrote Amarillo by Morning and sang that song as he envisioned the song. George Strait as with Elvis Presley had very similar versions of what Terry Staffard created. They made a lot of money with both songs.

It's a great version by Terry S. and he sounds very good. But if you compare both versions, Elvis wins imo. As for the voice, he tries to sound like ELVIS, again he tries! The arrangement is a bit different, and as an EP fan there is only one who can win this.....let me call it comparisons! Because i don't like the terms competition or battle! But even if i try to be objective, i would say the same thing. Elvis is the benchmark for all who came after him ( again i'm an Elvis fan, and at some points i can't be objective). And if someone tries to copy him it can only go wrong or sound a little weird in an Elvis fan ear.👂 What it makes it more "difficult" for T.S. is that "Suspicion" is one of my favorites by Elvis in 60's. EP sings it more "suspision like".......or in other words, it has more suspicion atmosphere! 🤔 I don't know if you reacted to Elvis' version yet. If not then you should. Especially when you still have this version in your ears! As always, a great and interesting reaction to this version, thanks Harry! ☀️

The famed Shubham Alock Vedic Astrologer (the video link I send you) has tried to decipher the classics on the various theories on planetary friendships by reading them. One of them is the theory below but I have modified it and also added the theory of planetary transits (movement of planets at that time) on it to give you a complete theory of planetary friendships. Digbali are blessings and planets get that status when they are placed in kendras - the four pillars in a horosco0e - the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th houses. Sun, Mars get digbali in the 10th. Mercury, Jupiter get digbali in the 1st. Moon, Venus get digbali in the 4th. Saturn, Rahu and Ketu get digbali in the 7th (I assign the nodes here) Other theories of friendship you have mutual friendships, mutual enmity and one-way friendship or one-way enmity. But this theory of mine is to say that the planet's greatest enemy is to be found in the previous kendra just before it and the enmity is not mutual. Now bearing in mind signs are houses like Aires is 1st house, Cancer is 4th house, Libra is 7th house and Capricorn is 10th house, whenever Pluto transits these signs, the planets in digbali there would try to do harm to one of the planets who are digbali in the previous kendra. So Venus is the greatest enemy 8s Jupiter. When Pluto transits Cancer (4th House in the late 30s), Aldolf Hitlers quest for a pure Aryan race gets its full forve to the point of exterminating other races. Venus like I told you is all about purity. Similarly Moon is the greatest enemy of Mercuru. The intelligentsia was the next greatest enemy of Aldolf Hitler. Pluto transits Libra (the 7th house) in the late 80s and 90s. Aids was rampant then. Saturn is the greatest enemy of the Moon. Aids was a blood disease. Moon is the significator of blood (Mars is bone marrow which does not come into the picture here). Pluto is NOW transitting in Capricorn where Sun and Mars get digbali. Be prepared for changes in the constitution in the various governments of the world just like the Franklin Roosevelt era just like Singapore repealing Section 377 (A) which criminalises sex between men. Sun and Mars, both, are the greatest enemy of Saturn. Crimes and corruption would come to a standstill everywhere around the world. An end to COVID 19 too. Just after the Franklin Roosevelt era, when Pluto entered TROPICAL Aquarius, Napolean Bonarparte destabilised the world. Expect the relations between China and USA to worsen as predicted by our Prime Minister. During the period of the nineteenth century there was much ihventions and classical music reaches its peak. A lot if universities gain ascendancy or started up. Pluto was transitting in Aires where Mercury (inventions and music) and Jupiter (universities of scholarly learning) get dibali. Mercury greatest enemy is Mars. People during this period uses logic to defeat the law enforcement officers. Jupiter is one exception. He is the greatest enemy of the 7th house from where Jupiter is placed in your chart. It is the place where Moon (Moon is strong in the 7th of Jupiter) eloped with Tara, Jupiter's wife while Jupiter was busily praying. Take the lordship of the 7th house from Jupiter and any planets being placed there as the enemies of Jupiter. So Jupiter is in great discord with many peo0le. . That is why pious people does not get on well in mainstream society.
