The LQ4/LQ9 cam isn't way bigger, but I think Richard Holdener tested it and it was worth 23ish HP over the stock 4.8/5.3 cam. The 4.8/5.3 cam is 191/190 @ .050 and the LQ4/LQ9 cam is 196/207 @ .050 It offers slightly more lift too, .467/.479 vs .457/.466 When we demodded it, took the PRC heads off and the cam out - used some low mileage stuff I had on hand. The head bolts... Chris over torqued one of the little bolts and it snapped. I was going to toss in 1 stock bolt after I got the piece out. He wanted to do all new bolts on that side, so we installed a new set of Mahle bolts. Honestly, I still have the 9 hardened bolts for that side. I'll most likely never use them if you want them.

That’s bad ass! I didn’t know there was much difference with the 4.8/5.3 stock cam vs the 6.0’s! It doesn’t bother me about the head bolts! Just saw it later on, and was like WAIIIIT! The heads were off, I wonder why! Still bad ass man!

That's pretty cool man! The 5.3 has more displacement and some other small differences that would make it better. You can tell they kept the 799's and threw on some cheap 862's though. I would leave it as is and put a cam motion titan 2 ls1 cam in it and drive it. Super clean truck Cody!
