He says it's a fully forged 6.0L with a built 4L80E transmission. 3.90 gears with Eaton Trutrac still 10 bolt, 4000 RPM Circle D converter. Runs on E85.

And the second station is 10510 W 42nd St, Odessa, Tx - And I literally went yesterday to fill up at that one and they are also finally out of E85 so I had to switch back to 87 for the time being. Also, neither store can tell you when they will get E85 either. I just moved here from Lewisville, North of Dallas, and I need to meet some cool people out here.

12 mpg on e85 is not bad, considering the energy content of pure gas vs. ethanol, that truck should get 15.6 mpg on alcohol-free gas. Really not bad for a 6.0 with a nasty camshaft.

E85 has less energy per volume so it will typically have reduced mpg. Regular fuel will get better mpg. Cruising rpms will also impact mpg. Nice truck and considering the setup your mpg seems ok.

@@SiskBuilt I can't remember, but it's too big. It's great on the open road but stop and go traffic or driving in a parking lot sucks. I built the engine 7 years ago and can't remember exactly the cam size the cam but I remember it's a comp cam and 627 is the only number off the cam sheet that I can remember. It made 570 whp at 6800 rpm. Callies crank with wiseco pistons 230cc AFR heads edelbrock pro flow intank with a 92 mm throttle body Every nut and bolt are ARP. The picture by my name is actually the engine in the truck.

You'll get better gas milage if you use regular unleaded. It needs more octane, not as much as premium, but having a little more will make it run better; "gas mileage". But again, you have to test this out.

I think the 6.0 is more than enough. Especially if you get a stage 2 btr cam you can make 480+ hp. You’ll make a lot more torque and hp all around so don’t worry about drivability

Whats your rpms at 85 mph? I have a 06 silverado 4x4 with a 5.3 cammed out, 4l80e trans, full length headers, 4.56 gears front and rear, 33x12.5x20 tires and a 3 inch exhaust. Cruising at 85mph I'm running 3400 rpm

Look at getting a gear vendors for your truck, it will really bring the rpms down and plus you can split gears with it so you technically have an 8 speed, it really helps when your doing pulls. second over is where the butter is at.

What wheel and tire are you running cause it looks like she puts the power down pretty good considering it's a rear wheel drive pickup truck! Anyways that thing is dope! I got the same truck, mine is actually a crewcab but I've been wanting to spice it up what would you say is the best mods to do first or in order of importance / makes the most sense to do before other mods?
