Scuffed intro, best intro. This board makes me really sad, since it was a great follow-up to the F1, but the machining problems doomed the release. I feel like people often overlook the difficulty involved with producing exceptional keyboards like Geon does. Hope he's able to turn it around for the next release, but I for one, trust him to.

Idk why, but geon’s boards have always attracted me in a way that other high ends usually don’t. Like I just don’t like mr. suit the same way I think I would like an f1 or even f2. Hopefully I can get my hands on one of these someday, even tho it’s scuffed as hell that sound profile is :chefskiss:

Just bright a F2 from mm.. I have been following F2 for so long but took a L from its sale, and decided not to let it go, lol. I rarely purchase anything from mm, but I love the polished SS weights on the F2 r1, and that is basically how I feel “a F2 should look like this”, lol. Anyways, thx for sharing, the video is good as always.

Very nice per usual also great build had nice pop! I get people want the clack the f1 has but imo the f2 has a nice round sound it has a bit more depth not all about clack. Both are great love my f1 but the f2 imo is good and I'm happy it does not sound identical. Just because they don't sound the same isn't a bad thing. We need different I really like the tone of the f2 tbh. I've seen this happen with other bards though the 1st is always better to many people even of it actually isn't. Also that isn't me saying the f1 isn't better lol. Both outstanding both different both are wanted and should be. F2 sounds, feels and looks good! Also props to geon how he's handling everything.

I definitely recognize the hollowness you had when you did the silcone top gaskets. I got the same effect when I did alu plate without tightening the case screws fully for a bit more flex. Guess this board is tuned to sound it's best when combining the alu plate with stiff gaskets. I might try NBR gaskets to see if that changes anything but I doubt it.

I know the feeling of disappointment far too well Andy, and I’m sorry to hear about your experience with the F2-8X. Do you know what also disappoints me the most? The lack of premium marshmallow options for us marshmallow enthusiasts. There aren’t a lot of places to go when searching for authentic ‘mallows, where the softness and texture isn’t affected by the preservatives and compounds found in the more recognizable brands. So next time you get disappointed by another enthusiast board, always know we are going through the same pain!

Would never do that. You need specialized tools and all you’re doing is wearing down the keycap to be thinner. It’s not “removing” shine it’s removing material to add texture

@@V4V6 Sandblasting can be done very thinly. It is like polishing a stainless steel watch, yeah you are technically removing layers but it is so small it is imperceptible.
