Yess! Thank you for this! We are staying in a Boardwalk Deluxe Studio Garden/Pool View in Nov. 2024 and are sooo excited as its our first time in a villa. I have a SUPER picky eater son so I'm ecstatic for the microwave and actual fridge (not a beverage cooler). I'm assuming you have Boardwalk view correct? We plan on doing a Boardwalk stay-day the day we arrive/fly in around 4:15pm. I just dont think it would be worth the $$ for the time we'd get to a park with it being later in the night to pay for 2 adults and 1 childs tickets. Thinking pool, arcade, playground, Pizza Window, Beaches & Creams Ice Cream window... maybe fireworks from international gateway??? Any thing in the crescent lake area you think we should check out that night that would be fun for a family of 3? Love to get your opinion!

Yes, that's correct. We have a boardwalk view for this stay. That sounds like a TON of fun, if you ask me! You can definitely catch some of Luminous from the International Gateway area, my recommendation would be from the bridge between Boardwalk and Beach Club though, rather than actually being AT the gateway. . . unless you're planning to head into the park. I definitely think it's worth your time to check out the live entertainment around the BoardWalk. This is something that apparently runs on a schedule, rather than nightly, so I'd check with the front desk so you know when to catch the performers. . . but it's a very fun environment and the whole family will love it!

We be staying here in September, we haven't stayed here since the updates. Don't feel too bad, we been DVC since 1998 and couldn't ever get a moonlight perks👎🏻😪 Thanks for sharing 👋🏽👋🏽😃

I think you'll really like the rooms now that they have been updated. They were in pretty rough shape back in 2021. . . I can't imagine how bad they were just before the update, but now I really like them. Wish there was more color, if I'm behing honest, but the layout and artwork is definitely nice.

I appreciate your perspective regarding moonlight magic. Been considering adding on direct points to have access to VDH and Riviera, but also maybe attend one of these events and it's a bummer to hear yours and others' stories about the queue.

You know, there are a number of good reasons to consider buying direct. . . the "incidental perks" like Moonlight Magic is definitely not one of them.

The Boardwalk is our favorite resort. We haven't stayed there since any of the Villa side rooms were renovated, but we will. Dont feel bad about Midnight Magic. We havent been able to get in either, but we have not been staying on property during one if the MM nights.

I think perhaps you are also salty because you aren't in the Jeep. Always take your happy place to start the day right. 🤣 I really like the theming and view of that room. I love the corn dog dinner. That pickle was HUGE. I think my favorite would be the Mexican Street. I will add that to my stop list this Fall.

I'm not gonna lie. . . . leaving Harley at home DEFINITELY didn't help. 😂 I couldn't take her though. 😔 It's all good though, went home and grabbed her for the next day. That pickel WAS absolutely massive! Very hard to eat, for me at least, and having flimsy cuttlery didn't make mater any easier. The Mexican Street Dog definitely was delicious. I'd get it again!
